Re: Red Dead Redemption
Only reason why I preordered this game was to get the extra discount I got when I purchased SC: Conviction and traded in some other games towards that so I was basically going to cancel my reservation for it but after seeing some of the videos and reading some of the previews, I might have to re-think that decision now.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
I think it has to do with what sounds like the living, breathing world that Rockstar has created. I might lose hours just observing what people are doing and just exploring everywhere. I know I did a lot of that with GTA IV. That and we haven't had a really great game on next gen that takes place in the American West from back in the day. Call of Juarez wasn't bad but it isn't the same type of game as this. I've always liked playing games that take place in that era though. Outlaws on PC was one of my favorite games ever.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Re: Red Dead Redemption
Just comparing the features of RDR and GTA IV alone, RDR blows it out of the water. R* has never had some of these things in a game before.
Game Informer has already given it a 9.75Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
I mean you can LITERALLY hog tie a woman and leave her on a train track to be run over. Only thing that's missing is pressing down both analog sticks to twirl a mustache and go "Nyeahaha!" Give a stranded person in town a ride through the woods, then abandon them there.
Just the little things like coming across dead bodies from some apparent raid gives you the impression of a world existing around you, instead of focusing directly on you.
And that's not even touching tight gameplay.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
do you guys have any thoughts on how good the multiplayer will be and how long it will be active among players? are there any other multiplayer experiences that can be compared to RDR.
I'm asking because i think I want to get this game but I have a couple RPG's that I am working on. I know the focus of the game is the story mode but i want to be able to get some action in the mutiplayer as well. I don't want to be clocking 60 hours in an RPG and miss the online experience in RDR.
I still get lots of play out of the uncharted 2 multiplayer.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
Give me a list of the best Western Movies since 1990... I know some of the older ones are the best, but it's hard for me to get into real old movies.
People have told me to watch these listed below...
Unforgiving
Tombstone
3:10 To Yuma
Which others do you guys recommend?
Which movie should I start with first?Last edited by Brandwin; 05-12-2010, 12:15 PM.Comment
