Re: Red Dead Redemption
Then what is it? Certainly looks like GTA to me. Even the overlay's look the same.
Sure, there are advancements and improvements, but it's the GTA formula, you're kidding yourself if you think differently.
As I said long before, the people who hated GTA, or got bored with it, will be back here a few days after release saying how disappointed they are.
I loved GTA IV, so I'm fully ready for the game and what it's going to be. It's not a knock on the game, it's just what Rockstar does.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
Except that what EG was meaning to say was that this IS GTA set in the old west... And essentially it is. Is it refined and improved? Of course. But a minute into that video, had I never heard of this game or who made it, I could have told you the developer in an instant.
And it's not a knock either, I'm freaking PSYCHED for this. But if someone is going into this hoping for something totally different from GTA... well prepare to be disappointed.Comment

If you got tired of the side missions/errand running in GTA you'll probably get tired of this game too. That's just what it is.
That said, I can't WAIT for this game.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
May have this tomorrow, there's a new independently owned video game store directly across the street from Gamestop that gets games early most of the time and do not care about a street date. Plus you get $10 off if you pre-orderGT: BIG CAROLINA23
PSN: BIG_CAROLINA

Re: Red Dead Redemption
I wonder how much damage your horse can take and do you have to feed it to heal it etc?
EDIT: as for the whole is this GTA on horseback debate i don't see how you could make a sandbox not be very similar? Nearly all sandbox games even from other developers look pretty similar, the difference with Rockstar is the attention to detail and excellent story telling. I already know i'm going to LOVE this game.Last edited by Jonesy; 05-13-2010, 08:46 PM.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
I as so ready to be a Gangsta Cowboy. If I don't get this game by the weekend I am going to quit gaming forever. Somebody find this Cuss Word Game!!!!! and send copies to all.Yeah I'm drinking my sorrows away
My fellow Cali gamers head down to Slauson Swapmeet if it's still open have not been there in over 20 years, or the Compton Swap meet and cop me a copy of this game. If you are in Oakland head down to Telegraph street where somebody has to have it and then ship this "CussWord" game to me overnight. PEACE!!!!!!Last edited by Flightwhite24; 05-13-2010, 08:48 PM.The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment
