I have no interest in DLC because of my PS3 can't access PSN, and I'd rather get 20 bucks off the game instead of 20 free dollars to spend, if that makes any sense at all.

Not really the same...get the game for $40 or get the game for $60 and have $20 to spend on future purchase. What if there is nothing else he wants or needs to get.

We all reveled in the glorious Red Dead Redemption launch trailer yesterday, but come May 18 only PS3 owners will be able to relish in some exclusive content for the game. Folks lucky enough to get their hands on early retail copies of the game are reporting that the packaging advertises two pieces of PS3-only content.

Upon carefully inserting the Red Dead Redemption disk into your PS3, you’ll have access to Solomon’s Folly Gang Hideout and the Walton Gang Outfit. If I do say so myself, the Walton Gang Outfit makes the otherwise rugged-looking John Marston look like quite the distinguished gentleman. I certainly wouldn’t mind raising hell in the Wild West in a top hat.

They keep adding up but I see your point. I actually bought the game at $40 because of a previous offer with the exact same bonus. Next game I buy will be $40 as well... and it most likely will be Alan Wake.

I would expect those here to buy MORE than one game this year. But if you're one and done, feel free to keep looking.

Yeah, I had 10 or 20 from splinter cell, plus I traded in a textbook to amazon, so I'm getting it for free basically. I then plan to use the 20 dollars to get UFC the next week for 40, and get 10 more dollars which most likely will go to NCAA 11 in July. I just recently started buying my games from amazon, and now they're the only people I buy games from, they have some great promotions.
--plus a bonus of not having to deal with the d-bags at my local GS.
