Question:

I bought this game online (Ebay), but it wont be delivered for another week or so. Can I go to WalMart and buy the game, then once the copy I ordered online gets here, return said copy to WalMart? Or do they have a tracking system where they would know I didn't buy that copy in store?

Anyways, seriously thinking about just trading in a bunch of games and buying this so I can play it for the long weekend. This thread has evaporated my patience to play it.

Never mind renting, this game just looks (and sounds) TOO good. Must have it.

I just can't ride any other horse but the stallion I broke. It's stamina is just top notch and it followed me when I rode shotgun with the tonic guy. A guy shot my horse in a shoot out, so I capped him in the leg tied him up, and threw him in a river.

I hope nothing ever happens to my ride, man.

I have a question, now that I have a few grand on me I want to buy a nicer horse. I see all the "normal" speed horses in all different colors for sale in Armadillo. My question is, are those 500 dollar horses faster than the one I have from the beginning whose stamina I already maxed out?

I see slow speed ones and normal speed ones, the "fast" ones are not available for sale however.

In the newspaper, there is an advertisement for a Pinch Brand Commode. The tagline says "Looks exactly like a chair".

I just finished Gaptooth and it was amazing.

The lighting in this game is great too. You can even see the light through the cracks in the wood.

I like being able to see and shoot out of windows in houses.

Anyone tried playing with the mini-map turned off? I'm not man enough for it, personally (way too easy to lose your barrings, much like any GTA game) but it's epic playing with no HUD. So epic, in fact, I might just bite the bullet and go for it, as difficult as it is to play that way.

Yea I did this early to be more aware of surroundings rather than looking at the hud. The only time I turn it back on is on time/race based missions. I still click on the main map but rather have the main screen cleared of any hud. I just judge the sun to get my bearings although high noon gets tough.

Has anyone Seen any specific cattle herding or bronco busting side missions.? Red Dead Wiki led me to believe that these side missions were available. All I get is bounty and night watch jobs. Not referring to the cattle heard main missions.

My first encounter with a bear in Free Roam...

During the night. A thunderstorm. I'm all alone. I see two bears pop up and charge me so I jump off my horse - the two bears destroy the horse. I blast one in the face with a shotgun, another bear comes charging. I kill a second....and BAM, three bears appear behind me and maul the **** out of me.


My second enounter? I went for a one-punch knock out bare-handed and got mauled in .2 seconds.

i don't know why , but i just cant get into this game.
It is a little too much like gta to me.
I dont like how all the buildings are pretty much duplicates of another but only in different parts of the town.

I just thought this would be alot more different than gta, and so far, its pretty much the same.

I bought this game on tuesday nite, and played for about 2 hours, then had to go back to playing mlb the show 10.

Tried playing again today, and quit after 1/2 hour.

Where are the treasure maps? That actually looks like something i would enjoy about tis game.

A fool and their money are easily parted.

I'm happy with the assassins outfits / extra quick recharging dead eye. This game is so beautiful i have no trouble taking my time between places and the normal horses are plenty fast enough for me.

Where'd you find the bears?

They're up in the "Tall Trees" section.

After fighting with you and your posse in Armadillo, I hopped on my ****ty horse and rode up there. Arrived all alone in the middle of a huge thunderstorm and apparently wandered right into a den because there were at least 5 or 6 of them.

I was able to finally kill one with only my knife. Now it's time for the bare-knuckle brawler to try not to get mauled.
