Just beat this game. All I can say is,

Jesus, what an ending. Glad I didn;t spoil it for myself. Came out of nowhere.

Actually the ending was vaguely spoiled for me, and by the time the end started to roll around, I was fully convinced that what I was told was false. But when it did happen, I was doubly surprised. Not even the least bit ruined, which is surprising.

Wow... Anybody else feel discouraged to roam around now that you're playing as Jack? I'll probably get some trophies and then start the game up again as evil Marston, it's just not the same.

Oh and manly tears were in full effect for the ending

Just started playing this game tonight for the first time and its pretty amazing so far having only done one mission and then just roaming around the countryside. For those of you that have played this since release, and in some cases apparently beaten it, are their any general tips you might find helpful for someone just starting?

Any good original ideas for killing people? Not sure what to do now when I find a cannibal etc...done hit by a train...thrown into the water...can't think of much else..it's too bad they can't die when you have 'em hogtied while dragging them across the ground.

I've dragged someone behind my horse until they died

if you want to try something fun, ride down the train tracks (having someone hogtied on back or dragging behind is optional) and ride straight at an oncoming train. At the last second leap off and watch your horse (and whoever is attached to it) run headlong into the train. The hard part is timing it right, and making sure when you jump off you end up off the tracks and dont get hit yourself lol

You just have to pop them in the body twice with your revolver. It won't kill them and they'll turn cowardly and run away slowly. Then you just run them down and one slash will do it. Definitely the easiest way to complete that challenge. You can also block their attack with your knife, but I found that didn't always work.

See, I know I could do that...but it just seems so...unfair. If I'm told to kill something with my knife, I want a fully healthy Cougar Vs my Knife, no guns.

Just personal preference, though.

anyone else love the throwing knives? I think they're a little overpowered, but still, a friend of mine and I will end up strafing in circles trying to kill one another with them and for some reason it's a blast. Also, if the off chance the knife doesn't kill the person, it seems to stay with them no matter what until they die.

I think you get the throwing knives once you finish Mexico in SP. In MP I forget what level you have to be, but I'm thinking it's 15 or so? It's in your throwing weapon spot where fire bottles and dynamite are as well
