Well I'm stuck at a standstill right now. Says I have completed 82.6% of the game but suddenly nothing new is showing up on my map. To pass the time I have been doing some of the challenges. I have helped only 12 strangers so I know there should be more to do. Any ideas?

100% Completion is an accomplishment in Red Dead Redemption that unlocks an achievement/trophy and an outfit. 100% Completion is achieved when a set of designated tasks has been completed. The following list provides the specific requirements for achieving 100% completion. This accomplishment applies to the main game - the Undead Nightmare DLC has a separate 100% completion accomplishment covered under the achievement/trophy entitled "Zed's Dead, Baby." The walkthrough below, details...

I had no idea Ms. MacFarlane gave you a Kentucky Saddler at the beginning of the game.

I'm pretty sure that during my first playthrough I immediately ditched that horse to stay loyal to the one I had at the beginning of the game. Not this time.

Does/Did anybody else find themselves not doing nothing in the game and not even bothering with the main story of the game or any of the side missions? Everytime I turn this game on, I find myself just riding around for no reason lol.

I accidentally drowned mine by jumping into the river with it. I honestly have no idea what the hell I was thinking.

I had no idea it was a Kentucky Saddler either. It didn't seem much faster / better than any other horse i had ridden. I think i shot it when it bucked me off one time and never looked back. I ride that evil horse now pretty much exclusively.

i do that all the damn time. It's probably why i've owned the game for months now and have only just gotten to Mexico this week. I need to get through some of the story but i keep wandering off exploring etc.

The Saddler and the Half-Bred suck so much compared to the American Standardbred, which I believe is the evil one. Playing through most of the game without that awesome black horse is torture at the moment.

I can seem to find out what breed the evil horse is. It seems to have awesome stamina which i thought was one of the bad things about the American Standardbred (isn't it the fastest horse but has poor stamina)?

After research, I think you have this one:
The Dark Horse is a special horse breed featured in Red Dead Redemption. The Dark Horse has a slick black body, white face and muzzle, and blood red eyes. The horse's body is covered with unexplained scars and wounds. While it has an average speed on par with most mid-tier horse breeds, the Dark Horse is notable for not losing speed if it runs off-road. Its health and stamina are also noted for being higher than most horse breeds, making it a durable mount in combat. The Dark Horse is a...

Yeah that seems about right. It's only a 2 star horse but it doesn't slow down when it's off road and has great stamina. I need to track me down one of the American Standardbread's to check out the speed difference.

I hate that horse. That thing is slow. Try one of the race missions with it. I never caught the pack and when I did the best I can get to was 4th place. I had to cut corners to win.

I am lucky I have a War Horse certificate, because I would really hate my decision to go Desperado. I laugh every time I whistle and to have that ugly horse come around the corner. I shoot him in the face or burn him then activate the certificate. Sometimes I have to use it in a pinch though.

Lol yeah he is pretty slow but i kinda like "old skeleton face" so i keep him around. He's no good in a race but his stamina never slows and he is kinda like a 4x4 when i'm off-roading with him.
