A ruckus is automatically caused after the first assassination. Didn't get to the second guy yet.Comment

Not to spoil anything but you're probably gonna want this at some point: http://home2.paulschou.net/tools/xlate/
There's a fairly good chance you wanted it already and just didn't know it.Last edited by goh; 11-19-2009, 02:35 AM.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed 2
I got a couple of hours in with this game yesterday. I had to put down MW2 and Dragon Age (hands down favorite of this crop of games for me for Single Player.)
This game starts off slow. But once you get access to the Villa it starts to shine. Everything is improved from the mission types to how you Assassinate your victim. I like that you need to be a little more stealthy or at least think of your approach now. The shops are a nice addition. Paying for upgrades gives it an RPG feeling. Environments are outstanding especially with the day/night cycle. The combat is still as good as last year. The counter kills are my favorite.
The only negatives I have are still the save system. I don't like that I have to find a treasure/feather/flag or find a checkpoint to save. I wish in this game, there was a quick save option. Plus the free running is giving me a little more of a problem this year. Maybe because the zoom is closer but I find myself jumping in the wrong direction or jumping when I just wanted to fall. Practice might make this better though.
And for the record I have both versions. My brother bought it for 360 (thanks to IGN AU) and I got it for PS3. I can't tell the difference at all. Maybe one vibrant color, I really can't tell. Both are playing in 1080p. So just buy it for your favorite system and/or controller if you have the option.
And jmood... "It's me..a Mario" I thought the same thing and laughed when I heard that in the game. I actually pictured the live action show actor.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed 2
If you quit from the menu it saves, unless you're in a mission.
Is anyone else having problems getting to some of the treasure/statues in the villa? I don't know if I have to renovate everything before I'm able to reach all of the areas but there's one treasure chest in the church that I can't find anywhere. I've renovated it so I can get inside but all I hear is the noise with nothing around.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Man the catacombs really are exactly like the old Prince of Persia.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

Re: Assassin's Creed 2
ya these catacomb side missions are great. The first one in Florence was fun as hell and when you reach your goal...very rewarding.
About the TARGET hits.....
I can get to the target undetected, but so far, never have I assasinated and left without being noticed. I think it wasn't designed like that. Hopefully that's another variable they add in AC 3. It'd be nice to assasinate without anyone noticing. Maybe it will happen later in the game ....just did 4 main target hits....
I did do a mission where I had to kill 3-4 guards then get to a main target. Those 3-4 guards i killed with pure stealth.....very satisfying.
I remember killing a guard sliently, then I saw another guard approaching my corner where I just killed his friend, i climbed up and when he came to where I was, I jumped behind him...bye bye.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed 2
Maybe they have stealth kills later on in the game but if they don't, for the next one they need to let you make assassinations with weapons other than just the hidden blade. It would be great if you could do it with the throwing knives or the gun.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters.
