Yeah see that sucks that you will skip those online when its lifted. I haven't the current max yet, but I am concerned that I will.

      Re: Halo: Reach

I hope that future map packs that Bungie releases will be good maps... I'm starting to get sick of these maps. They're not getting stale but with the majority of the maps, it only seems like a quarter of the map gets used and the rest just "sits" there not being used...

Halo 3's maps in my honest opinion, are far better than most of the maps in this game. When I play on a map I want to be fighting people all over the place, not just in the same area.... over and over and over again. I understand it's Halo. Power weapons and map control are key... but I don't remember having any map other than Construct and Snowbound in Halo 3 where the majority of the battles happened in the same spot over and over.

This is one reason why I haven't been playing this game a lot lately. It's kind of getting repetitive. Something that never happened to me in Halo 3.

I agree with you on Reflection almost all of the fighting takes place on that one long hallway on the upper level, the one were the Lift takes you up to... and on Sword Base all the fighting takes place pretty much in and around that Living room type area that leads to the little sniping lookout vent.. Most of the time people just camp the elevator hallway that leads you up to that room with an Energy Sword, or Shotgun and pull out good scores despite doing nothing but camping.

If you count all the DLC maps, sure, but it wasn't until then that Halo 3 had more than 3 maps that were worth a damn. Comparing the initial maps that shipped with each, it's not even close, Reach wins handily.

To each his own I guess. We'll see how Reach's DLC maps are.

Agreed, to me Reach's disc maps are better as a whole than Halo 3's disc maps. Of course they aren't as good as Halo 2 maps, but I'm not sure we'll ever get a game with maps that good haha.

I dont know why but I hated Halo 2. Loved it at first but when the bouncers came out and glitchers found ways to slice across the map w/ the rockets launcher and etc I hated it. That just totally ruined the game experience for me.

I seriously thought that the Warrant Office crawl was true for all levels ahead. I'm kind of let down that the pace picks up again.

Yeah, Halo 2 maps were amazing. There were no holes. Everything was covered from Slayer to BTB. DLC was handled better too with 9 new maps being available for download and at retail then the next month being free. Legendary and Mythic for Halo 3 still aren't free. I wonder what happened to that agreement, because there was some heated discussion between Bungie and Microsoft on the DLC for Halo 2. Bungie wanted the maps to be free, but the two eventually agreed on the pay first, free later model.

Yeah the DLC for H3 will never be free as far as I am aware. Speaking of which, that brings up a good point for Reach. They need to have a better way on implementation of DLC in Reach than in Halo 3. H3's DLC implementation is straight up awful. You buy maps, and your reward is having them in playlists like a year later, it was awful.

I knew about the rocket and sword flying across the map glitch, but rarely saw anyone actually use it in matchmaking and I played that game a ton.

Agreed. That's why I wouldn't mind the Halo 2 model returning. I can deal with a month of DLC playlist. The best thing though would be to integrate them into all playlists, and detect wether players have the DLC before being matched together, instead of after like Halo 3.

Agreed. I don't praise Infinity Ward very often, but the way they implement DLC is great. The maps are put into playlists a few days after they are released (A DLC playlist for about a month if people just want to play the new maps), the maps are optional, but the search for maps is done before players are matched up, so you always get matched up with players that have the same maps as you. Therefore, you are rewarded for buying the maps by always having them in the rotation when you play, but at the same time it doesn't alienate the people that didn't buy the maps.

Also for people that want to experience what can only be described as awesome, I present to you Rocket Race: http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/Fi...ja%200n%20Fire

And a sweet map to play it on: http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/Fi...px?fid=5644522
