Re: Halo: Reach
Anchor 9 and Tempest are great. Better than anything on the disc.
MLG playlist is now out for anyone that enjoys that.Last edited by Steel5; 12-07-2010, 06:31 PM.Comment

Re: Halo: Reach
I only stopped playing because I don't own a 360 anymore. It's the one game I miss. The new maps look really great.
Super excited for Bungie's next. I don't even know what it is besides a new universe and strong hints at it being multiplayer focused with MMO elements, but I can't wait till the curtain is pulled back. Free from the shackles and burden the Halo IP brings, I expect amazing results.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Halo: Reach
Yeah, mainly because all my friends are on PS3 now. I kind of regret it, which I expected, but with most games being multiplatform and nothing besides Gears 3 really interesting me, I wasn't going to be playing it very much until then. Who knows, maybe I will get another 360 come next fall, especially if more that interests me is announced.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Just played a few games in the MLG playlist. Their settings are pretty cool, I enjoyed it.Last edited by Steel5; 12-07-2010, 09:29 PM.Comment

Re: Halo: Reach
Even beyond that, looking at their experience with multi-platforms and their experience running online businesses, in terms of their experience with large-scale online worlds. Online’s always been a huge, important part of Bungie games and it will be going forward. Just the added bonus of being brothers in arms with Blizzard was also something we felt pretty cool about.
From E3
"Bungie wouldn't have signed if they didn't come to the conclusion that we have by far the best online capability between what we've be doing in Call of Duty and the expertise and institutional knowledge that sits at Blizzard."
IGN
Now, in a recent interview with IGN, Corporate Vice President for Microsoft Game Studios Phil Spencer stopped just short of confirming the speculation that it would be an MMO. When asked about whether Microsoft looked at the MMO and free-to-play markets as something it would like to bring to the console, Spencer replied with an unprompted mention of Bungie:
"On the MMO point, I think that's really a business model question of how many can you support on one platform. I think MMOs do have a future on consoles and TV. I know my friends at Bungie -- I don't know if theirs is an MMO or not – but I know they're pushing with Activision to do something interesting in the online space which is good. I think you'll see that come to TV in a more interesting way than it has in the past."
Bobby Kottick
"When they started the process of looking for a new partner, they'd been in business with Microsoft. They had a vision for a product they wanted to create that needed certain skills and capabilities - that Microsoft had some of.
"But as they started to go and look at the obvious candidates, they realised that no company other than Activision had the skills that they needed to be successful for the vision of that product. These are things that you never would have envisioned five years ago.
"Blizzard had 2,500 people in customer service and support just for World Of Warcraft. How you train them, how you manage them, how you organise them... how you use CRM tools in delighting and satisfying the expectations of your audiences.. it's something no other company [Bungie] talked to [could offer]."
Joe Staten comment at GDC Online
“I think it’s a shame that we spent so much time working on this world called Halo and then we only let people spend six or eight or 10 hours in it,” Staten said. “Wouldn’t it be great if we could make a world that was always there for you, with lots of stories to tell, like a big, infinite storytelling horizon? Man, that would be great.”Last edited by Flawless; 12-08-2010, 05:10 AM.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Halo: Reach
Just popped this game in on a whim after not playing it for a while, and i had fun! the only thing is that i never got to play on any of the new maps. the one i really want to play on is anchor 9. i'll stop playing this game again when i get black ops, but for now, its a great fill-in. just wish the multiplayer was as good as black ops.Comment

Re: Halo: Reach
I stopped playing this for about a month and a half because of Black Ops and other stuff, but I jumped on this weekend and was reminded just how chaotic and fun this game is. Playing Invasion and 1 Flag on Breakpoint is just insane with all the vehicles.
Had a game of Invasion where I shot a Falcon out of the sky with a Banshee only causing to it fall onto 2 of my teammates carrying the core across the bridge.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment
