Re: Halo: Reach
It is my OPINION that MW2 and Battlefields multiplayer were done much better.

Re: Halo: Reach
So it is still the basic Halo multiplayer? I'm probably not picking it up because I end up just getting annoyed by all the whiny kids and whatnot, and I do feel the lack of strategy (I know there can be strategy, but even when I used to play Halo 1 with friends in person it was mostly just lone wolf running around killing guys, that type of gameplay has gotten old for me personally).
Probably best I skip this, especially since I felt Halo 3 was Halo 2.5 (expected more from a next gen version).
Does the campaign make it worth it? Halo 2 and 3 campaigns weren't that compelling to me (basically an afterthought cause the multiplayer was the focus), but the first Halo's was decent....
Just want to note that I'm not hating on Halo, I know I'm really weird in not having it click for me and I'm totally in the minority in my opinions on Halo 3 and ODST. Just trying to figure out if Bungie really made things better this time or if I just have to wait for their new IP for something fresh.
Campaign is great, but I wouldn't recommend buying it just for that. Of course there's Firefight, Daily and Weekly Challenges for those modes, Forge, and things like Race that you may enjoy compared to the competitive multiplayer offerings. Compared to Halo 2, and 3, I think Reach's campaign is far better, because of it's story and the way it's presented. It's not going to blow people away or anything, but it's nice to have a more serious tone and more character development of getting to see behind the masks of these Spartans. One change they made is instead of making missions and trying to fit a story around them, is they came up with a modular story wrapper, and fit missions inside. So, as a result, it's much more cohesive.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Halo: Reach
Playing through the campaign with a friend of mine - **** is ****ing awesome.
The elites are awesome. The Skirmishers or whatever they're called are sweet. Battles seem a lot more like the first one than either of the previous ones. Fun.Comment

Re: Halo: Reach
To me Halo is a great representation of how to take a game from a previous console generation to the next and not skip a beat. There is so much going on with this game and the net code is solid. It has everything a multiplayer shooter could ask for and then some.
I have always enjoyed the ability to jump in and enjoy it and feel fairly competitive. I don't expect to be like some who are already levels beyond me, but I have enough fun that I'm ok with where I'm at and my own pace. I'm looking forward to getting into the campaign too.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Re: Halo: Reach
They didn't exactly go reinvent the wheel, but Reach brings by far the most changes to the core formula, so it does feel fresh and modernized in ways, but it's still very much Halo too.

I should give it another chance with a open mind....Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
