help me understand. Why were you returning the game? and secondly what point did you prove by leaving a game you paid for with the CSM without receiving a refund? also what scam were they accusing of exactly?

I was returning it because I dont like it. They were trying to accuse me of returning the game for a full refund, but keeping the $20 gift card I was supposed to recieve...basically stealing 20 bucks. I left the game on the counter because I was pissed off because I was accused of trying to basically steal 20 bucks and to prove my point, just left a $65 game I paid cash for 8 hours earlier .sitting on the desk. Stupid to leave it there I know, but I was mad and made an irrational decsion.

All I can say after playing a little portion of the campaign is, "Oh **** Yeah!" Feels good to be back in Halo.

Through the first few missions this reminds me of an amalgamation of the first 3 and odst. It's much more open ala the first 3, but seems to have much better emotional resonance.

So does this have heart,good characters,style,nice enviroments and a worthy story like ODST or is like the other 3?

Yeah, I don't know any place that lets you return opened games...

Reach is sitting in my car, though I won't be able to play until after the girlfriend leaves lol

Think I got someone in some big trouble today. Tried to return the game to Walmart this afternoon and was told that they dont do refund on open software, so I was like..fine, no worries" Then the Customer Service Mng came up and asked how much I paid for it and I told her 65.

She looks at ther ticket and says she doesnt mind helping me, all I need to do is give them the gift card I got with the game. Only problem was I didnt get a gift card, this was the first I heard of it. Looking at my ticket, it sure shows that one was activated for $20, but I never knew about it.

CSM then accused me of trying to scam WalMart. She got down right irrate at me because she said she was going out of her way to help me ( which she was ), and that I was trying to con the store....

Called 2 other people that I knew was in the same line and sure enough, they have a gift card activated on their ticket as well, but they never got one either. Everyone in line only got a poster.

I think its quite possible that the cashier was scanning GCs and pocketing them herself. Told the CSM that this was the most embarressed I have ever been in a store and that I would escalate this issue. Told her just to show her I wasnt full of chit, left the copy of Halo on the customer service desk with no refund and told her she would here from me again.

Damn dude... that's ****ed up. Question though, you left them the game WITHOUT getting a refund? Now what will you do? What if they claim you never left the game, and now you're just out $65??

so I can't seem to find it in this thread but I remember somebody posted. How do I get the things beside my name that say like "Halo 3" or "ODST" or for the people that played Halo 2 they get that one?

You have to log into your bungie.net account and activate which one you want in your account settings.

As for the armor question, all upgrades are cosmetic and don't affect gameplay.
