DOH! So I could have got all the daily ones yesterday, but didn't try as I thought to myself, "no way I'm beating the game on heroic today" LOL.

That is a lot of dollars. LOL!

Microsoft's biggest title this year generated $200 million in sales, up from the company's previous record holder, Halo 3, which raked in $170 million in its first day back in September 2007.

"That's more than any game, movie or entertainment launch in 2010," said Phil Spencer, vice president of Microsoft Game Studios during the company's keynote event at the Tokyo Game Show.

To date, the franchise has sold over 34 million units since the release of Halo: Combat Evolved in 2001 for the original Xbox.

For comparison, Halo: Reach fell short of the all-time, day-one record holder Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, a multi-platform title, which generated a massive $310 million in sales, making it the biggest entertainment launch ever.

Activision is set to launch Call of Duty: Black Ops this coming November. The publisher is expecting the title to perform even better than Modern Warfare 2 by backing it with the biggest marketing campaign in the company's history.

Finished the campaign last night. WOW! Is all I have to say. This game and it's story line is just remarkable. I'm not spoiling anything but, it all makes sense now that it's over.

BUNGIE, Thank you for the memories that I will have for IMO the best video game series of ALL TIME!

Np man, makes me mad because I beat the game legendary by myself but the challenges werent up at that time......lol.

Finished the campaign last night. WOW! Is all I have to say. This game and it's story line is just remarkable. I'm not spoiling anything but, it all makes sense now that it's over.

When in the cutscene after blowing up the covenant ship with the Heavy Rail Gun at the end, wait for the POV shot inside the Pillar of Autumn. Quickly look to the right with the right stick and you will glimpse MC in Cryo. This can be done on any difficulty except easy.

There's only one up and it's pretty bad - Menu > File Browser > Custom Search > Map Variants, Forge World, Vahalla.

Somebody will probably make it, but it's not going to play the same sense the geometry is very different between it and the Gulch.

Overall i'm liking the game quite a bit. I'm largely an offline player. The engine is starting to show its age and it looks like they've pushed it as far as it can go from a visuals standpoint. Probably a good thing Bungie is stepping off the Halo franchise at this time, but the game still looks great. The gameplay feels good and the weapons have nice "kick" to them.

The only thing I really feel is lacking, believe it or not, is the story. I've read The Fall of Reach a couple of times, and the game doesn't set up the importance of Reach all that well. It doesn't set up how well defended the planet is. In the book the planet is of utmost importance to humanity, and it would be a grim reality if the Covenent ever found the planet. In the game it's more like "oh hey look.....there are some Covenent forces on Reach. How very odd. Let's go kill them". It doesn't convey the catastrophic situation that it's supposed to be. Also, so far (i'm on the 4th level) it doesn't do a particularly good job of establishing the Spartan characters. It doesn't make you care about them. They are nice to have as freindly AI counterparts......but more effort could have been made to humanize them a bit. I also think the music (score) in ODST was quite a bit better than Reach.

That said, I AM having a great time with the game.

I played the first mission on Heroic by myself and died 3 times. I think the fact that I didn't realize you needed to hold X to pick it up may have really hurt.
