Fender,Gretsch,Hamer,Ovation,more Fenders,more Gretsch...SpoilerAngus Young's guitar
Bass...Gretsch,Fender,Ovation,Guild,Jackson...didn 't see Hofner but he didn't go through them all.
There's also real band shirts you have to pay for with real money even though they're obviously already on disc:

Re: Rock Band 3
I still can't decide if I want this game...I haven't purchased nor played a music game in a long time, and while the new options are cool, I'm not sure I want to spend money on the cymbals or a crappy quarter size keyboard toy in order to get the full enjoyment.
Still, when I do play with my wife, son, and others, it's still a blast.

Re: Rock Band 3
Question re: downloaded tracks that came before Rock Band 3.
My understanding is that any tracks that have released since Rock Band 2 came out already include Pro Drums parts. None will include Pro Guitar parts or Keyboard parts, at least at the onset (they are looking into providing upgrades for their back catalog, I understand). My question is, what about vocal harmonies? Are they included in the existing DLC, or does HMX need to upgrade those as well?Comment

9.25 - Game Informer - http://img813.imageshack.us/img813/8...and3review.jpg
"In many ways, RB3 is a culmination of Harmonix's efforts to bring music to the masses. But, it's also a new chapter in the franchise that starts the gradual merging of real and game-based music. Plenty of naysayers have already declared music games dead. Harmonix certainly hasn't gotten the message; this band is primed for a new tour." >> Matt Miller

5 / 5 – Joystiq - http://www.joystiq.com/2010/10/22/rock-band-3-review/
Video games -- not just rhythm games, but all video games -- rarely show this much ambition. Even more rare are occasions where developers manage to fulfill the impossibly lofty goals they set before themselves. Rock Band 3 manages both with ease, backing up brilliant ideas with flawless execution. It raises the bar so exceptionally high that, once again, it's just about impossible to see where the rhythm genre is going to go from here.

9.4 of 10 – VG Revolution - http://www.vgrevolution.com/2010/10/rock-band-3-review/
Rock Band 3 is a major jump forward for the series. The series makes a big jump away from being a toy. The new Pro Instruments and modes will be welcomed by Rock Band fans of all skill levels. If you have a young gamer or even old gamer who is slightly interested in playing a keyboard, guitar or drums, Rock Band 3 and it’s training/lessons are a great place to start. If you are a fan of the series and looking for a new challenge those same pro instruments are a great new challenge as well. Rock Band 3 has truly pulled me back into the very popular and saturated music genre. If you were excited years ago when Rock Band debut you’ll want to pick up Rock Band 3.

9.5 – Destructoid - http://www.destructoid.com/review-rock-band-3
It’s a game that’s so solid that Harmonix could continue to support the game with downloadable content for years to come, and fans would find little to complain about. If they’re already dreaming of a follow-up, they’ve got their work cut out for them, because Rock Band 3 seems about as close to perfect as you’re going to get.

9.3 – Ultimate Guitar - http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/revie...d_3/index.html
Rock Band 3 could be considered a few games in one. For those who just want to “rock out,” drink, and laugh with friends, sticking with standard play (at least for the guitar) is paramount. It’s true to the original, but this time around you can navigate quicker and easier. If you’re sick of the format and have scored near-100% scores on Expert for the past few editions – to put it frankly – the Pro Mode will kick your behind. It’s the best of both worlds this time around, and some gamers who have never picked up a real guitar might just be ready for the real thing a few months down the road.

5/5 – G4 - http://g4tv.com/games/xbox-360/63381...Band-3/review/
It is at once the best party game on earth, a great solo pastime, and a potential entry-point into a lifelong artistic pursuit – how many games can you say that about?

Re: Rock Band 3
The stand-in mess.
The terrible,terrible,terrible unlocking system.
No more styles/character specific animations.
I'm not sure how many new venues there are but doesn't look like much. Meaning most of them are the same we've already had for 2 games. Considering how they blasted GH for being the same, well that didn't have venues from 2 games ago.
Looks like you don't get to pick them anymore either. (Could be a cheat/modifier but there's no -play in this arena and make a setlist- type thing by default.)
One band per profile.
Number of characters that can be made reduced to 10.
I think sing-a-longs are gone but can't confirm. Haven't noticed any in videos.
Competitive modes are all gone.
No offline scores. Your solo scores are taken from the online leaderboard so if you're not connected when you put up a score there won't be anything there, can only see % and stars not the actual score.
Personal preference but the setlist is awful with way too many songs already in GH. Though by the looks of the new set up I thankfully won't have to play very many of them.
So yah. Maybe if you play online in a band all the time, don't care what your characters look like and haven't played all the music games before it's all good but as a largely offline solo player that's played them all this is a massive downgrade.
Yup I hate RB so much I've got 442 songs. (79 more than I have for GH)Comment

Re: Rock Band 3
^ So what would you rate the game? Seeing as how you've been playing it long enough to gather all this info. How long have you had it by the way? 1, 2, 3 weeks?
Seems like you've had it a while because of all the stuff you have found out you can and cannot do.Charger Fan Born and Raised!
