As of The Doors pack tomorrow Oct. 26th,The Doors pack and anything in the future will no longer work with RB 1 or 2.

Everything available today,Oct. 25th will work in RB 2 and all non-RBN songs will work with RB 1.

So just to clarify, if I downloaded (or even want to download) a song which was released last August or something like that, I will still be able to play it on RB2? It won't be "deactivated" as of tomorrow?

Yes that is correct.

IGN gives it a 8.5 and actually pointed out some of the stuff I complained about. Said the current pro guitar is just "dumb".

Sing-a-longs are in fact gone as I suspected:

The one thing that's missing is something that, at least for me, made Rock Band special. In past Rock Band games the crowd would start singing with you as you did better and better in a song. That's gone. Why? No idea. Losing that impromptu chorus kills a lot of the rock concert atmosphere the series has pulled off so well in the past.

I hope they can patch something like that. I was actually disappointed in how many songs didn't feature it before, and now they completely removed it? Fail.

Yeah some reviews I read about the Pro guitar was that it felt like another plastic guitar yet overpriced.

I already decided to wait. Just renting it to get the free Doors. Guess it's really half price Doors with the cost of the rental. If Silver even gets it.

Saw another video going over some minor annoyances to be aware of.

Black Hole Sun and Dani California ARE gone. 100% confirmed.

It brings up the loading downloadable content screen every time you start the game up. The first time takes quite a while,after that it's faster but it still comes up. Think it only came up when you got a new song in RB 2.

A freeze ocurring when attempting to customize character. It was fixed by clearing the cache and it seems that everyone that had this problem was in the beta for the new dashboard.

No individual deleting for RB 2 songs. 1.93 gig file.
DLs still in progress. (Not mine,other people) No word on what didn't make it.
Use the code off the back of RB 2.
Early unconfirmed report: Spoonman,Give it Away,Let There Be Rock,Battery,Anyway You Want It and all HMX songs...confirmed.

The first thing I did in this game was fail out of Bohemian Rhapsody on Expert Keys (not Pro) RIGHT WHEN THE SONG WAS ABOUT TO GO INTO FULL ROCK OUT MODE.

Pro Keys are amazing, despite how badly I suck. I'm having an absolute blast with this game so far.

Trying to learn keys gives me that feeling I had when I first started playing rhythm games. I sucked but I knew I was going to fall in love with it. I love that feeling of a new challenge.

Can't wait for the guitar to come out.

Picking it up later today and can't wait. The keyboard sounds like it's going to be extremely fun and most of the complaints I've read on here are very minor things that I personally don't care about.

One thing, anyone have any reason as to why Any Way You Want it doesn't export? That one seems very strange to me.

Not disappointed at all that the HMX songs don't import.

My copy was ordered for me from Amazon as a birthday present, so it probably won't be here until next week. Hopefully, it gets here in time to get the free Doors.

I would imagine the HMX bands will come back as DLC, possibly free.

Bands like Freezepop need to have the inclusion of keys. And Visions with Pro Guitar.

EDIT: They will be coming back as part of a free pack.

Officially the songs that didn't make the cut:

* AC/DC – Let There Be Rock
* Journey – Any Way You Want It
* Metallica – Battery
* Red Hot Chili Peppers – Give It Away
* Soundgarden – Spoonman
* Red Hot Chili Peppers – Dani California
* Soundgarden – Black Hole Sun



AC/DC makes sense because of them not wanting to do anything as a single/download.

Metallica makes sense as well because of the exclusivity.

RHCP and Soundgarden I believe have deals with Guitar Hero.

Journey makes absolutely no sense. I'm hoping they plan to release it later down the line but I'm not hopeful.

What are the difficulty levels in this game? I just read a review that said there were 8 now??? The easiest level was always too easy for me but the next one up was pretty hit or miss, was looking for more difficulty levels..
