Viacom and MTV Networks have been an amazing home for us over the past 4 years. It’s where we launched both Rock Band and Dance Central, worked with The Beatles, Green Day, AC/DC, The Who and thousands of other artists. We want to take a moment to thank everyone in that organization who helped make these awesome games possible.

We’re excited to be returning to our roots as an independent and privately owned studio. Billy Joel pack might be one of my favorites released so far. Awesome stuff.

Do you guys have any good ideas on kick pedal noise suppression? I live on the second floor of an apartment building and tried to play some drums Sunday afternoon and the lady that lived below me knocked on my door and said the thumping noise from the pedal was too much.

Back in college we used to roll out a thick blanket to put under the entire drumset, and that seemed to work okay, but obviously it wasn't an ideal solution because the set would move around and wobble a bit.

Any ideas?

I'm disappointed the HMX pack didn't get any upgrades. My own fault for expecting them to but seems odd they were held out of the RB2 export for what appears to be no reason.

WOW I have been waiting to buy Rockband 3 now that Johnny Cash dlc is coming out it's time for me to get it.I have been waiting for some Johnny dlc. I can't wait for Tuesday.

I believe the reason was either to keep the file size down or to get rid of Visions for the 99.99999999999999999999% of people that hated it and wanted it gone. This way the 3 people that do like it can have it and everyone else is rid of it. The only use for it was to troll on vox when playing online.

There's a few RBN songs supporting double bass pedal now. Also more Dimmu Borgir,Inkubus Sukkubus and Freezepop now available.

I'm really contemplating buying the Mustang. I know I can wait for the Squire, but I'd rather just use the guitar I already have. I can practice on the Mustang and transfer that to my real guitar.

The pack isn't available as singles though, you get them all or nothing. That's the other reason why this made no sense to me.

In December we learned that private investment group Columbus Nova purchased the developer from Viacom for an undisclosed sum, returning Harmonix to the independently owned development studio it once was.

Citing sources familiar with the transaction, Wall Street's Peter Kafka says the investment group paid a piddling $49.99 for the development studio in total.
