Not only is it there you can actually advance with no-fail on this time. I also believe it's automatically on when playing on easy. You're probably up the river if you care about your character though. I still have no idea what they were thinking with this unlock system. Ridiculous. Got the achievement for 5*ing everything on expert and I still don't have a bunch of items I want. I always wondered how horrid it'd be for someone on easy.

Ozzy the 31st but there may be a catch:

It looks like the track list for the May 31st Ozzy Osbourne DLC has been released, as an 8-track listing seems to have popped up on various sites across the web, although none appear to be attributing an official source, so you might want to take this info with a grain of salt until it is officially confirmed by Harmonix.

The eight songs reportedly being released are:

Mr. Crowley
Steal Away (The Night)
I Don’t Know
Flying High Again
Over the Mountain
Diary of a Madman
Mama, I’m Coming Home *
Bark at the Moon *

Now, here’s the kicker. See the asterisk on the two songs above? It is being reported that these two tracks will not be available individually, rather only as part of the larger pack. And the Ozzy post from earlier this week mentioned that Pro Guitar/Bass features are only included as part of the pack, as well. We reached out to Harmonix to see if there’s any clarification they can provide, and we’re anticipating a post on RockBand.com to hopefully clear up a few things.

Oh, this game.

I used to rule at it. Expert. FC all the lower tiers. I think the best accomplishment was either an FC of Give It All, Stay Away, or maybe a gold star on WAHNtHaC.


Stopped playing a while ago. I still have Rock Band 2 laying around here. Didn't bother with RB3. Was a very active member of ScoreHero for 2 years. Man, so much time.

Yes, there will be 8 songs in the Ozzy pack. Yes, "Bark at the Moon" and "Mama, I'm Coming Home" will be two of the songs in the pack. Yes, they will have Pro Guitar upgrades. It's an **** release and people will have a ton of fun with these songs and it's exciting to be able to experiment with DLC bundling like this.

I think most folks upset about cherry picking those tracks will be a bit happier when they see the pricing for the 8 pack, especially with the Pro upgrades included. Even if some people are opposed to buying the full pack, there are still 6 classic Ozzy tracks available as singles, along with one additional Pro upgrade. It's shaping up to be a blockbuster week of DLC and we may have a few codes to give away to help promote like we did with the Foo Fighters pack. So keep an eye out for that!

We will definitely be watching to see how the community reacts to this DLC release. We're already tracking comments on the forums and we'll be checking download stats on the back end as well. Everyone should feel free to weigh in with their thoughts, especially once the specifics of pricing are announced so everyone is able to get the full picture.

Rest assured that we're not planning on doing this every week from now on or anything like that. It may be a bit different from how we've released DLC before but the last 6 months has seen us release RB3 versions for the first time, Pro guitar charts for the first time, upgraded legacy content for the first time, etc. It's an awesome opportunity to be able to release this landmark content in sync with Ozzy's re releases, and I think bundling the pack together like this is a great way to showcase his catalog as well as offer it in a cool and convenient way for people looking to check out his songs and master those tracks on Pro guitar.

Has anyone here played with the stratocaster? I used to take guitar lessons as a kid. I sucked as I have short fingers and didn't put the work into it. I have had some desire to get a guitar again and pick it back up and was wondering if this would be a good transition/fun way to back into it.

Well got the game today, it's definitely going to be my "go-to" music game with the no-fail mode. Honestly though I'm still terrible at the game, I wish there was a tutorial that explained how it all works, like I read for some parts of the song you don't have to strum every note<?> but other parts you do. I also wish there was a difficulty level between easy and medium. On easy I play notes too soon and it's kinda boring but on medium it's like the game is just throwing a bunch of crap at me and i'm missing every other note. *sigh*...I think i'm about the only one on the planet that has so much trouble with these damned music games, LOL

Oh wow they took out the tutorials.
I don't think you need to worry about it on easy. The notes are normally rectangles,if they're squares instead those are the ones you don't have to strum. Also during solos you can just use the solo buttons (if your guitar has them) and not strum.

Far as between easy and medium try turning on the breakneck speed.
