Got a few generic ? about this has I've never played anything like it before.

What all pieces do you have to get to play other then the game? Like can I play with just one guitar or do I have to have a whole band?

When you use the microphone to sang does it tell u the words?

What does this cost now days for the equipment?

- you can play solo or with any combination of instruments.
- yes, singing included karaoke style lyrics
- i think the Beatles bundle is the best bet for getting started - drums, 1 guitar and mic for under $100. the drums are about $50 (if you can find them), guitars $40-50, and the keyboard $60.

You can just play one instrument if you want, I just play the guitar 99% of the time. So if you don't want to play drums, don't bother buying them. When you are singing it's like karaoke, you'll see the words on the screen. I prefer the GH guitars to the Rock Band ones, but they are all cross-compatible. The prices on them vary, I have gone through a number of guitars but I always find one on sale somewhere or another.

thanks for the info, the beatles bundle seems to be the way to go since my gf loves them. I'm having a hard time finding the bundle for sale anywhere. Is it like a special are is it always that cheap? I had planned to wait for christmas since I don't really need at at the moment.

yes Rock Band is definitely better than GH in terms of gameplay and song selection to the vast majority. GH was the first, so there are still many loyal to them as well (I started out with GH on the PS2 and loved it immediately). I believe most people can go either way on either GH or RB instruments. Since I started out on GH guitars they are the ones I liked the most and stuck with. Really the only difference is the strummer IMO.

Yeah you'll usually find the sales around the holidays, not this time of year. So if you aren't in a hurry, just keep a lookout on deal sites like cheapcheapcheap.org or Amazon's Video Game of the Day deals.

thanks rock band defnetly sounds like the way to go for me. The only thing I'm worried about is the price as I can't seem to find any store that sells a bundle for the price yall mentioned.

Not all of them will but the ones that say YES should do fine.

This is what threw me off

Instrument controllers and wireless microphones are specially designed for each game console and are not interchangeable between platforms (Xbox 360, Wii, etc.)

Oh ok I get what your asking now. Your right there not interchangeable but any instrument that says YES should work just make sure you get it for that system respectively.

I know that the Fender Squier Stratocaster is multiplatform compatible, but you need the correct MIDI adapter for it to play on your system.

Also there was an Ill Nino song last week.
