I'll try to add you guys tonight. This is definitely the best Gears of War game hands down. Its polished and the gameplay is very tight. I got tired of Gears 2 really quick, I don't think thats gonna happen with this one.

This was fun during the first week or so of release, but the sawed-off has made it unplayable for me now. It was tolerable when only 1 or 2 guys were using it but I played multiple games where the whole team was using it and the game becomes a camp fest.

It's a shame really, because the game is fantastic apart from that gamebreaker for me. I'm sure many can handle it and will put up with it.

The retro lancer is your friend. As soon as I see a guy Sawed Off charging me, I pull out my Retro Lancer and he literally moves in one place and get's downed.

Hey guys riding the fence on picking up this or BF 3. Can someone tell me if you can have a guest on th multi player (spilt screen) or if it is only 1 player online. Thanks

Yeah, it's easy enough to counter but that isn't the problem. The problem is the camping that comes with the sawed-off, the pace of the game slows down terribly and the game just becomes boring for me.

**** introduced that Classic playlist but it wasn't done correctly at all, people wanted a playlist that didn't include the sawed-off, not take out every gun except the Gnasher. I've given up with them for now, I used to have their back during GoW1 and a period of GoW2, but the noob friendly things in the game now have killed it for me.

If only GoW1 was created again without host advantage

I like the sawed off. I don't see the problem with it. It's a close range weapon and takes awhile to reload. To me the Gnasher is worse than the sawed off because of it's range. Active reload Gnasher IMO is the most powerful gun in the game.

Gnasher hasn't been right for a while...there are still times it feels useless with shot eating or wtev...(even point blanks don't register), this was noticeable during the 'gnashers only' playlist, it still doesn't work, it feels like shooting marshmallows sometimes...
As far as the most powerful weapon, Retro Lancer is you friend seems, both Lancers are the go-to-guns

People who reminisce about Gears 1 and think that was the pinnacle for the gnasher are living off of memories. That multiplayer, as good as it was, was also very flawed.

Well the pinnacle for the Gnasher certainly wasn't in GoW2, and it's not in GoW3 as of yet (although I think it's much better than it's GoW2 counter-part). So GoW1 was the pinnacle for the Gnasher. Shotgun battles in that game required skill and were fun imo.

So I finally played Beast last night. The mode is really fun, but 12 waves? I finished it in like 15-20 minutes. It's definitely too short. Kinda irritated I didn't unlock the last tier of Locust, but the Mauler is unreal.

Yep love beast mode but its too short, final wave is too easy. Its ripe for beefing up with DLC. I think it will help having flame sentry guns, which will make it tougher to be a beserker
