well im done playing this game for a while and **** and go out of business for all i care. me and my friends played 5 **** people on sandbar and i went 18-6 and we won 2-1 needless to say my K/D is a 4.3 and they were bragging because they were using the characters that arent even able to be downloaded yet and their tags said it is ****. in the end i had 15 headshots with the sniper and they were saying you wont be good for very long. and BAM kicked off of XBox live and cant connect. this it bulls***. if you worked for **** then have some respect for people that are better than you at your own game and not kick them off the servers for 2 hours until you get off

i know how serious it is ive been playing since day 1 of the first gears of war. there is no reason to kick someone because they beat an employee

I think you got host booted, my little bro plays Call of Duty a lot and these guys know how to shut people's routers off for a couple of minutes so they can get wins or something. I don't really know how it works, but it happens to him all the time.

Anyways, I picked Gears 3 up the other day and it's a blast. I'm not really a shooter guy or an online guy even, but this game is a lot of fun especially since most of my friends have it. I'm actually really good, I like that it takes a while to die and you can dive out of the way.. I haven't played Gears 2 in awhile but I loved that one for the same reason.

Haven't got into the campaign yet, but I enjoyed the heck out of Gears 2's campaign so I have high hopes for this one.

What did it mean when it said the s.o.s' "gib" range is now the same as the gnasher?

Also is it just me, or does it seem like the hammerburst has gotten weaken since the game first came out? I use the hammerburst pretty much exclusively for my rifle, and it seems it doesn't have the same stopping power it had at release. And it seems like a dumb choice to use now...I mean the retro has more power, the lancer has a much longer clip, and is 100% accurate. Seemed the hammerburst was very effective to me, but now everyone is just eating through my bullets coming up and gnasher/s.o.s me. I had to move my chair further back from the tv so I wasn't as tempted to break the disk

Yes it does. I don't use it but always get killed by it and retro lancer. Two or three shots and on the ground I go.

The gib range on the sawed off was changed. It used to gib outside melee range, meaning if somebody was outside of the range where you could punch them you could still kill them in one shot. Now the gib range for the sawed off has to be melee or closer. It is something that needed to happen.

The update hasn't done much, I still get gibbed from quite a distance with no damage
