Could someone tell me the tables that are on this game? Sounds like a winner but would like it more if Black Knight was one of the tables to play.

. At least half of the names should be familiar to anyone who's flipped a few silver balls in their day. Pinbot. Whirlwind. Black Knight. Funhouse. Space Shuttle. Even the lesser known ones should ring familiar: Gorgar, Taxi, Firepower, and Sorceror might not have been huge successes in arcades, but chances are you've dropped a token or two in them even if you can't immediately remember them. And for those who need a truly old-school pinball machine in their collection, Jive Time has that quaint mechanical design of the pre-microchip era. This HD update also includes three additional, later generation machines: Tales of the Arabian Nights, Medieval Madness, and No Good Gophers, all excellent pinball games back in the day and welcome inclusions to theComment

I noticed last night that you can hear Centipede and Joust in the background. Nice touch, makes you feel like you are in an arcade. I just wish you can play them. I almost made it through the Williams Challenge. I couldn't get past No Good Gophers.
Black Knight is a great table, and I had a pretty decent run on it. It is very fast, it really tests you.Comment

You also need to whack the gophers at the appropriate time to open the locks and feed the locks for multiball.Comment

Gophers you need to know what to do, first of all on the plunger the skill shot is a delicate touch shot to the blinking lights on the left. You need to complete 4 "holes" to light the extra ball. There are certain shots you need to hit before you "hole out" (the big left hole on the upper part of the playfield) the blinking lights will tell you where you need to hit to "drive" the ball, etc. and the machine will let you know when you're eligible to "hole out" and finish a hole. The better scores you get on each hole, the bigger the bonus, hole in ones off the ramp to the upper small hole on the top of the playfield where the flag is scores big points.

The great thing about this game is that for each table there's a tutorial that tells you what the objectives are and what each of the ramps, bumpers, etc does. It's also kind of cool to see the marketing flyers for each table.XBL: TancComment

Re: Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection (PS3/360)
Got it for the 360, awesome game, tables are very accurate. Physics are good, the ball could use a bit more spin to add more randomness like in Zen Pinball, some bounces are a bit too consistent, if they fix that it would be perfect.
Sometimes if you're a hair slow on the flip you might think you lost a ball that you shouldn't have, but like in real pinball if you do a super quick tap you will get the response you're looking for, so the flippers are pretty accurate.
I got it at gamstop for 39.99 but it's available at Amazon for 29.99, it's a steal for that price, even for 40 it has tons of replay value.
There's been some reporting that while holding the flippers on the ps3 version that it will sometimes skip and flip the ball instead of keeping the flipper up. Although one guy (on AVS forum) said he played it with a dual shock 3 with rumble and didn't have it happen. I have a rumble and non-rumble for ps3 so I went with the 360 just in case they don't patch the ps3 version.Comment

I also hear that the PS3 version has no Platinum Trophy. Bummer!Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. I have had no flipper issues on the PS3. I have a DS3 and vibration is on.Comment

Picked up the game over lunch hour. It had Black Knight and I loved that game back in the day. Also played a lot of Haunted House a Gottlieb table in the late 90's. Those were good times back in the day before adult responsibilities took over.
So ...anyone have a favourite table?Comment

I like them all really. But, I like Funhouse probably the most. Rudy, cracks me up with his commentary.Comment

Re: Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection (PS3/360)
The 3 new 90's Williams pins really make this game worth it even if you have the ps2 or wii version.
If you're wondering about what looks like wierd things happening on No Good Gophers when you launch the ball off the drop ramp, the game in real life has a sheet of plexiglass above the gophers, so if it doesn't go in the hole in one or one of the ramps it will slide down the plexiglass.
One thing I noticed on all the machines is that it's easier to hit the ramps with the upper flippers on the 3 flipper games than in real life. I hope this sells well so we get some DLC. Star Trek Next Generation is an awesome table, Whitewater, Demolition Man, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Theatre of Magic, Johnny Mnemonic, High Speed, Terminator 2, Indiana Jonesetc. etc.
Crave really needs to contact Stern, they could use the money and have made some awesome tables. The Simpsons Pinball Party, Lord of the Rings, Sopranos, Family Guy, Terminator 3, etc.Comment

Re: Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection (PS3/360)
Some tips. If you don't want to use the "smart cam" which follows the ball all over, it seems you have to hit "x" on the 360 which will give you full view cameras, meaning the camera stays in place and doesn't follow the ball around the playfield. Also you can change your flippers from bumpers to triggers and vice versa. There's also different plunger cams, but it's all about the touch with the right stick to get the "skill shot" on Totan, you can multiply the skill shot by hitting the skill shot and then hitting the left ramp. I think Whirlwind also has an upper left ramp skill shot after you hit the skill shot with the right stick.
Also like a real machine if you want your bonus to add up faster at the end, hold down the flippers and it will go fast. Learn the skill shots with the right stick. Noobs to pinball might not know on most games on the upper playfield when you light all the lanes your end of ball multiplier goes up and you can manipulate with the flippers which lane is lit and build up your multiplier by lighting all the lanes continuously.
Anyone else finding on Medieval Madness that it's harder to save the ball, seems like a fraction of a second longer delay on the flippers?Comment

MM is by far my fav machine so far...with ToTAN a close second.
Like you said, this game SCREAMS for DLC. Attack From Mars, Twilight Zone, Adams Family, etc (and I loved Whitewater too, that was a great machine!).Steam: BahnzoComment
