    Re: The Pokemon Thread

    I go in binges.

I'll go months and months where I don't play a Pokemon game at all. Then I'll get a craving and spend like a week doing almost nothing but that. Most addicting games in existence.

That's a good way to describe it. Binge.

I got Black when it came out and played a lot for like 2 weeks. Then I didn't play until this past weekend and it's all I have been playing now.

QFT. Every so often I'll come across my old Gameboy with a Pokemon game in it and play the crap out of it for like a week or so. I've played/owned Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, and Crystal.

Was completely addicted to Pokemon Black.

Now, I don't play it anymore, but I'm sure I will soon.

First Nintendo handheld (since the original) I have owned is the 3DS and was thinking of trying Black/White on it. Might be worth looking into...after OoT of course.

Played it since R/B days, and I still till this day play it, I really didn't get insanely crazy playing Pokemon until Diamond and pearl released thats when I found out about how indepth the game can be when training pokemon which brought another level of play to the game. Lately I haven't been on it as much as I will go awhile without playing the game, then I will pick up my ds on a random day and that's all she wrote, I'll play for countless hours on end. Currently playing Pokemon white.

Red, Yellow and Crystal Were my favorites back when i was younger. I remeber having all 151 trading cards it took me ages to get them all (and alot of allowance money) I kept picking up the games but i really got out of it once Diamond and Pearl came out. It just seemed to loose its luster for me so ill stick with the originals

Played through FireRed. Just popped my Gold into my Gameboy and found the file was corrupted... Had so much time dedicated into that game. It ended up as my storage game, with me trading important or rare Pokemon to that game from my Red, Blue, Yellow, Silver, and Crystal, but it had around 50 pokemon that were lvl 50 or over, 15 of which were lvl 75 or over, and 4 of which were lvl 100. Kinda sad to see it corrupted, but oh well...

                          Re: The Pokemon Thread

I played the first 3 sets. Beat Pokemon Red a million times. Haven't played since. I don't even have a DS but was kind of interested in playing White/Black.

When I was a kid I loved playing handheld games but don't really have any situation where I would play them now besides at home.

I bought the cards when I was a kid but never played a single game with them. I don't think anybody did in my school but everybody definitely bought them when it was the fad. Then they got banned from school and everybody went to those Yo-yo's. I think they were Yomega Yo-yo's and I had the fireball or something like that. Those lasted a couple weeks before they got banned from school.

                              Re: The Pokemon Thread

Bump for this thread. I remember getting Pokemon Red in middle school, Pokemon was HUGE then. I got Yellow, then Gold and Silver which I played for about a year until I got busy with high school and sports etc. About a year ago I bought a DS and Pokemon Platinum off of EBAY just for the hell of it to see how the new Pokemon games are. Man they are much more in depth! I still haven't gotten any of the wifi stuff fully figured out.

It would be nice to get this thread goin and talk pokemon with some guys on here just for a change of pace.

Same thing happened to me. Apparently there is a small battery in each gameboy cartridge that saves all the info. Those batteries last about 8-10 years before they die. After they die you can play the game but no info will be saved.

I looked on youtube and found videos on how to replace the battery. It is a fairly cheap and simple process.
