I watched a video for the end of the game, and it turns out I did beat Fable 2... But that's how bad it was - it was so unmemorable that I didn't even remember doing it until I watched a video and realized it.

As opposed to pissing people off going back and fixing/changing it seems like a better idea.Comment

Re: Fable III
A mod on the official forums says Natal is still optional.
To help avoid further confusion: it has already been confirmed that any Natal use in Fable III is completely optional. For those of you thinking this obscure reference from Peter is dooms day news regarding Fable III and Natal, it ain't.
I hope nothing in Fable 3 pisses you off. It's inevitable, I suppose, that anything you do in a game annoys someone. But everything we design is really carefully thought out to try and make a better game.
When I heard all the changes, and just the brand new features, I was excited. There wasn't one that I didn't think was a good idea - they're things that Fable was missing or could improve on, and things that will drive the series forwards. It's up to us now to finish the thing off and deliver something ace.
I have a feeling it's not going to be just strictly an action-RPG anymore. I think we could see a Fable and Black & White crossover of sorts (simulation-RPG) - think Little King's Story for Wii. It totally fits with what we know about Fable III.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Plus, people on the internet get mad over anything.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Fable III
Going back to the first preview done by Eurogamer, this is interesting:
So if this is Albion as you've never seen it before - caught between mechanised, inhuman progress and the bloomy rural dreaminess of the past - it's also Albion in a way you've never seen it before. And this is where the information starts to grow sparse. "When you think about a view of Albion you haven't had yet, looking down on it is a view you haven't had yet," suggests Josh Atkins, Fable III's lead designer - an American at the helm of perhaps the most English of games, but an American who helped out on parts I and II, and has also, y'know, worked for Miyamoto. "We're talking about being able to see more and influence more."Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Fable III
That's what Milo & Kate is for. I'm not sure I would want a Fable game to be Natal-based. It's still possible the game could be entirely controlled with Natal, especially if it goes more simulation. A game like Black & White would be absolutely perfect for Natal.

Re: Fable III
The ways that Fable III use Natal may enhance the experience so much that people pick up it, because it seems essential. Dynamic Touch is only one mechanic we know about. An example given was dragging somebody and throwing them in a dungeon:
The interesting thing about touch that you really discover its worth once you implement it. You can grab someone – really grab them and drag them, or hold their hand, when you're passing judgement on someone as a king, you can literally grab them and throw them in the dungeon. And because you can do that to someone, with them kicking and fighting against you, it just feels a lot more emotional and ethical than just pressing 'B'. It just does.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Fable III
I also need to finish Fable II, which I hope too rather soon. It sounds like some interesting things could be happening with Fable III. I sometimes wish they would copy a few mechanics from Zelda, that could be very cool. I guess the only game to come close to Zelda is Darksiders.Comment

Re: Fable III
I totally missed this part from the Eurogamer preview. It pretty much confirms simulation elements, but still being Fable.
All I can reveal at the moment is that we are working on a way to see the world with a wider view, so that you can directly influence large sections of the kingdom at any one time. But at its heart it's still a third-person action game. That experience of being able to directly change the world is something that would actually blend quite nicely with Fable, pulling the camera back a little and allowing you to see how you're changing things and what's going on."Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment
