Re: Biggest Disappointments of the Decade
Seeing Xbox Live turn into a place for racist, fascist, whining hate mongers that only have balls because they are on mics.
It is very hard to find mature people on xbox live now. And what is up with always having a 7 year old saying he is going to f my mother. Where are their parents at? Thank god they put mute options on these *******s.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

I get you mean B1g. Before you and i played last night i had to mute my entire team, because all they could do was spew racial slurs, and sing what sounded like Klan songs for the whole round.XBL Gamertag: Ralphy2142

True. See it everywhere from youtube to washingtonpost.com to porn sites (uhhh... or so I've heard), etc. It'd likely be rampant here if such talk was allowed. Sad there are so many closet racists.HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

Re: Biggest Disappointments of the Decade
Oh well, as I said before glad there is a mute button.
On to my biggest disappointments:
Empire Total War being a total rush job and coming out broken and without features.
No more age of empires games.
No more flight simulator games, at least there will be add ons.
Potential fall of 2k sports, bye bye need for innovation being necessary
Licencing agreements for sports games.
I am sure there are a ton others. However, my goodness the innovation. The simple fact that I can play a game online with someone in Kansas, New York and down the street at the same time boggles the mind. This decade has been a wonderful step forward.Comment

Re: Biggest Disappointments of the Decade
fallout 3 was defiantly the biggest disappointment, every1 says its amazing but your obviously not a fan of the series or the first 2 games if you love fallout 3, all the graphics don't mean anything to meComment

Re: Biggest Disappointments of the Decade
I completely understand why developers want to avoid forums because they're mostly just endless complaints. It's not even limited to sports games either, if you go to the Bioware forums you have people constantly whining about almost everything.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Biggest Disappointments of the Decade
Not sure why LBP was disappointing to me. I think I had such high expectations for it that I set it up to fail from the start.

Re: Biggest Disappointments of the Decade
Next (meaning "current") gen:
I only have a 360, so sports games have been utterly, entirely, and completely disappointing. The fact that we have jacked up stat engines, shoddy gameplay, and features that suddenly went missing (IN GAME SAVES) from "last" gen has pushed me to the brink of entirely abandoning my sports-game obsession. I have taken to playing Madden and NCAA 2007... for my XBOX...
P.C. gaming:
The general decline of the industry because of piracy and the subsequent copyright protection measure. I HATE steam, I hate Creative Assembly's current and blatant neglect of their consumers and the modding community, and I hate having to rely on increasingly digital media. Call me old fashioned, but I want a damn disc, box, and instruction manual.Comment

Re: Biggest Disappointments of the Decade
These are in no paticular order:
1.Madden and NCAA Series on next-gen (except for Madden 10) Huge dissapointment for me. I love football video games and has always bought both games every year and dedicated countless hours to dynasty/franchise but on the next-gen EA really took a huge step back for both series. Horrible presentation and both series taking strides back on next-gen was and still is a huge disspointment.
2.College Hoops and ESPN football getting the axe. ESPN 2k5 is my favorite football game and one of the best games overall I have ever played. Presentation was ahead of its time. College hoops 2k8 was the deepest legacy mode ever in a sports game and is still better then the current EA title. If 2k were still making these games they would blow us away.
3. GTA IV-I loved San Andreas and this was the 1st game I bought for the PS3 and I just couldn't get into it. The city was beautiful but the lack of customization and IMO the lame storyline just couldnt get me intrigued in it. I enjoyed Saints Row 2 much more.
4. MGS 4-First Metal Gear game I did not finish. I know people might not agree with me but I got tired of cutscene after cutscene and lost interest in it fast.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Re: Biggest Disappointments of the Decade
I gotta agree. Although I did finish it, and I really enjoyed the final fight in the game. I didn't find any of the story very intriguing, I kept playing hoping for the same kind of intensity as mgs 1 and snakeeater had, but I was let down.Comment
