It's about 20 hours, plus whatever you put into all the side quests, etc. Not what I'd call a short game.

Wowww..I just played this game for the first time and wow is the word..so I was very very scared to get this because I thought it would be boring and like gta 4 or batman but it's totally fun and adventure mixed with action plus a great story mode..I kind of didn't want to pay $60 for it because I didn't think it would be worth it plus Madden is next week but Im glad I got this because it's everything I've always wanted a action video game to be....Im More of a sports gamer but I was curious because everywhere had great reviews for this game so I trade in ghost recon plus 40 bucks for it and wow..this may be the best action game every and until gta 5 comes out...it's a long story mode with plenty of side mission to help u get known in the city and police work..the martial arts skills are great and the things you can do is amazing..Like a movie..I think everyone should get it because you won't be disappointed at all. The game is amazing and Im a sports gamer who judge game crucially.it's even better then Batman..more realistic and combats are great..it's like gta with martial arts plus better driving..better gun battles..better scenes..better AI..better short missions that goes along with the story mode..and better outfits and great police work..just better everything..go get it now because you won't be disappoint

Re: Sleeping Dogs (PC/360/PS3)
Question related to your spoiler.I think my record is just over a minute
.
Just trying to collect all the statues now. A tip for collectibles:
SpoilerGo on all of the dates. Amanda, Tiffany, etc. Each one of the first dates lets you see different collectibles on the minimap. I just drive around now until I see the lockboxes, health shrines, and statues pop up on my map.
SpoilerWho do you have to date to get the lockboxes on the map? I dated Amanda and Tiffany and got the health shrines and statues, but no lockboxes. I take it there's a third girl somewhere? I've finished about half of the main story so far and figured I'd have to hunt for all of the lockboxes...Comment

Re: Sleeping Dogs (PC/360/PS3)
After a little over 7 hours played, I'm sitting at 30% of the main story complete. Right now my main focus will be driving around listening to Daptones Radio, collecting jade statues and using health shrines. I can't stress enough how great it is to have collectables appear on your map.
It's huge for someone like me who doesn't go out of his way to find hidden items in open world games.
I just unlocked street racing yesterday. The driving has started to grow on me, so street races should be fun.
One of my favorite sequences so far was on a date with Emma Stone. Met her at the park and took some pictures of her. After she let me hit it in the back of her car, I found my first hand gun and a insanely fast street bike up the road behind a radio tower.
Wish I could find more time to play, but real life keeps getting in the way. Hopefully tomorrow I can get a solid hour of gaming in.Comment

I'm glad you posted that about collecting stuff thats good to hear. I never wanna walk around and randomly look for stuff to collect, but if its on the map I would do it.After a little over 7 hours played, I'm sitting at 30% of the main story complete. Re: Sleeping Dogs (PC/360/PS3)
The driving has more of an arcade feel to it. Cars feel more weighted which make it much easier than GTA4. Only problem I've had is the camera can be a bit of pain when trying to turn around.
Just remember to drive down the left side of the road.Comment

Re: Sleeping Dogs (PC/360/PS3)
To the guys who have finished...did you tap into every single surveillance camera on the streets? I don't see how you could have. It's probably not a requirement to finish the game.
And...has anyone successfully beat the guys at the Martial Arts fight club...6/6 rounds?

i've completed 2 fight clubs i think. you get a nice chunk of Face XP and if i remember right around $20k. getting a "massage" before you fight helps a ton too.To the guys who have finished...did you tap into every single surveillance camera on the streets? Re: Sleeping Dogs (PC/360/PS3)
I did all of them, and they're so much fun. The hand to hand combat in this game is awesome, so going through 6 rounds of it at 4 different fight clubs = heaven.Comment
