Was a very solid game, I enjoyed it a lot, you probably noticed the past tense vocabulary that's because I beat it and traded it in today, but that's not a knock on the game, I really had fun playing it was playing it in spurts the first week I bought it but I really put in the man hours yesterday on it and beat the game. Really fun game and definitely enjoyed the ending.

I don't know if I should play Sleeping Dogs or not. I still haven't tried it. I'm tempted to do so, but first...

Out of 10, how do you guys rate this game overall?

On gameplay and story, I'd give it a 10 or close to it. It's easily my favorite game, bar none. Do I wish it were a little longer, yeah. Do I wish I would have slowed down prior to spending 3 straight days playing it... yeah. But it was literally a game that I couldn't put down. I still have a LOT of things that I want to do with it, a lot of little side things, and I feel that the game has a lot of replay value. If we get some good DLC, and some of the modders on PC do some work ala GTA IV, this game will live for a long time.

I'd definitely go for it. It's a 10, and easily my GOTY.

The storyline and characters could easily translate into a hit movie.

That is saying a lot for a videogame. Most games simply cannot boast that.

We need a Sleeping Dogs The Movie to release. Even if it was just the same copy and paste story from the game it would be extremely bad ***.

Personally I would give it 8.5 out of 10. Story is well written and engaging, the voice acting is tremendously done!!! It's simply amazing how well the voice acting is. Gameplay is really solid, the fight mechanics remind me of Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City which is excellent, you really feel like a bad*** when smashing faces. My only cons to the game is that the side missions get pretty old and repetitive in objectives which can be said about a lot of games, also I wish it was a tad longer, I also wish there was more more things you could do around the city when your not doing side missions, this isn't just a knock on this game but GTA games have been like this for me as well. But other than those complaints which really are my own personal gripes, this game is well worth a purchase, if not a purchase then I definitely say rent it and give it a play through.

One more note, I actually never followed this game I knew it was coming out but I knew nothing about it. Kind of bought it on the fly because I wanted something to play and wasn't disappointed at all, and usually I don't get into the sandbox type games like this.

I do some ignorant things with this title. Yesterday I was doing a car retrieval mission. Got close to the garage, saw one of the events where a dude stole a purse. Whipped the car around, tackled the guy, put him in the trunk (which damaged the car of course, netting me less money), took the car and dropped it off

One of the customers are getting more than they bargained for when they buy this car.

What side missions should I be focusing on early on?

The fighting mechanics alone are pretty damn awesome, but the city itself is incredible. It doesn't feel as dense as Liberty City, but it is beautiful to look at and drive through.

I popped a wheelie for 37 seconds last night.

Going on dates when they become available is key. Once completed you will unlock collectables on your map. This will allow you to strengthen your health meter, collect cash, and learn new moves in the dojo.

I'd say those are the most important side missions to start with.

So, I need to do a couple story missions before I start exploring too much?

                          How do I replay missions?

Side missions and things like street racing become available as you complete the main story. You'll notice more activities on your map after completing about a half dozen story missions.

I believe you can replay missions via your cell phone.

Look for random people with the emblem above their heads. Once you engage them, they usually will ask you to do something for them.

Are these the "favors" that pop up on the minimap? I did one last night where the bitch set me up for a mugging.
