I really hate exclusive pre-order bonus content. Too bad this stuff isn't available to everyone.

Re: Sleeping Dogs (PC/360/PS3)
Calling them challenges may be a stretch, but I see them as similar since they're basically short/end at anytime missions you can play as many times as you want for a triad/cop boost or just for a high score on the mission.
I'd prefer GTA IV style DLC (or at least Harlequin's Revenge type of deal) but even Rockstar won't be doing DLC similar to what they did with GTA IV again.Comment

Re: Sleeping Dogs (PC/360/PS3)
Too much development time + resulting high $$ of DLC + not high enough sales online. They're will still be DLC, but not content that they have to charge $20 for or turn around and sell it as a standalone disc for it to make sense.Comment

Re: Sleeping Dogs (PC/360/PS3)
I got the martial arts pack and its just one outfit, a wing-chun training dummy in your North Point safehouse and a mission. That mission is just a never ending fight against Monks at the temple, a survival mode, if you will. I murked 25 then I did in 200 and got a similar boost in Triad score for both so no real re-playability.Last edited by Tha_Kid; 08-27-2012, 09:14 PM.Comment

Re: Sleeping Dogs (PC/360/PS3)
I just wanted to add that I was not disappointed in this game at all, even with the 7 year wait. One of the few positive things I could tell 2010 me about..
For a sequel, I would like to see them put blocking back in and maybe add multiple dojos where you can learn different disciplines. More Free running possibilities (no more random barbed fences, ability to climb up to land when you're coming from sea instead of just designated dock type areas), a better physics system, etc.Last edited by Tha_Kid; 08-27-2012, 09:20 PM.Comment

Re: Sleeping Dogs (PC/360/PS3)
I got through the Central fight club in my first try, but it took me forever and a day to find the damn thing. Also been hunting Jade statues like crazy. These fight moves are pretty fun to watch.

Re: Sleeping Dogs (PC/360/PS3)
I wouldn't waste too much time hunting statues... You'll find them all during missions, and [a couple] aren't even available to be reached until said missions.Last edited by DickDalewood; 08-27-2012, 11:44 PM.Comment

It's certainly advantageous to seek them out early, especially if you're having trouble at the combat.Comment

Huh? All but two are out in the open, and can be accessed at any time. The remaining two can only be accessed during (or after, in the case of one) certain late-game missions.
It's certainly advantageous to seek them out early, especially if you're having trouble at the combat.
Personally, I just waited, as the combat came very natural for me... maybe it's all the Batman I played, lol. Patience and countering are key.Comment

Kinda off topic but is there any truth to Toys R Us doing that 2 for 60 cause I wanna buy this and Darksiders 2.Comment

Re: Sleeping Dogs (PC/360/PS3)
I still dislike the practice of exclusive pre-order bonuses in game. Just irks me that I don't get the same things that others get because of where and when I bought the game. Then you got to weigh what you want before pre-ordering at a certain place. Companies need to time-unlock all the pre-order stuff for free.Comment

Re: Sleeping Dogs (PC/360/PS3)
Get a massage before doing any face missions. These include things like races and (I believe) fight clubs. Really, most any mission adds to your face experience. Just hit up all of the side quests and it will level quickly.Comment
