Re: Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
Here is my take so far on the single player campaign. I have completed 4 mission so far.
The Story line so far is not bad. I can't give a full opinion on it since I have yet to complete the game, and that would not be fair.
I'm enjoying the more realistic approach to accomplishing a mission. I love having to take caution into a area instead of guns blazing. Some mission require that you go in stealth or the mission will be aborted. I love this and I find it much more challenging. There are some mission that do not require the stealth approach, and you can either stick to being stealth or go guns blazing. Its open for you to decide, but again only certain mission allow this.
In regards to my A.I teammates I feel they work good with me. I really don’t have a problem with them so far. Marking enemies and syncing your teammates to take down the enemy all at once works well. This feature is very important to utilize if you want to accomplish mission that are time based, and for stealth. You take down 4 at once and that leaves no one alive to alert the others.
Now I do question the enemy A.I to a point, and this maybe because of the level (Normal) I'm currently playing on. When I'm hit by enemy fire, and I lay down for one of my squad mates to come to my aid. The enemy allows him to treat me. When he could have killed us both. I want to see what happens when I play this on elite, but way too many times I was left open to be finished off, but the A.I not only left me alone but left the squad mate to come aid me alone also. Again I will see how this works out on the elite level. I want to pay for being dumb on the battlefield.
Another gameplay aspect that I did not enjoy too much was in one of the mission I had the target in my possession. I had to get him to a certain area, and in doing so I was coming across enemy fire. The game put me into a position where I had my target in one hand , and my pistol in another hand. I want to say I loved the realism here. One hand should not be able to handle a assault rifle, so by default they put my secondary weapon in my hand. The problem I had is the game made it very limited where I can move and where I can shoot my weapon. The game pretty much just coasted me. I did not like having my hand being held there. I wanted to be responsible for everything. This bothered me but not to the point where I was not enjoying the game.
What I' am going to mention is just personal preference, and not a knock on the game. I just feel this takes away from the scariness and tension of the battlefield. The grenade radar to me is not worth using if you want a tougher challenge, and trust me if you don’t use it. The game even on a normal level will be much more challenging. The radar grenade just does a great job in displaying the enemies position, but for me it takes away the drama of entering enemy territory. I would have preferred a normal radar to where I can see where they might be , but not to the point where I can see their every movement. It just makes things way too easy.
Now I will not be using the radar going forward because to me I want a tougher challenge in approaching a area with better caution. The radar just makes it way too easy, and I miss that from the original recon. You really had to pay attention and be very smart when entering enemy territory. With the gadgets we have now it takes away from the tension in entering a enemies area. I just want to recapture what Ghost recon was all about in the past.
In closing.
I like the SP so far. The mission are getting much more interesting as the game moves along. I can't say that if you’re a stealth player this game is for you, because I only played 4 mission , and I don’t know what else lies ahead. What I can say is if you're looking for something different than COD and Battlefield then gives this game a try. I personally like it and I welcome the different feel of combat it offers over COD and Battlefield. I love both COD and Battlefield, but I love playing something different, and GR is different.
I will come back and state my impression with what this game offers on the Elite level. I'm curious to see how certain things play out from what I mentioned above.

If you're more into the co-op part of it, there is a Guerilla Mode (Horde, Gears of War) where you have 50 waves to clear that you and 3 other people can play together.Moderator

Re: Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
I'm debating on wether or not to change to the highest difficulty. I think play Max Payne 3 has really prepared me for some tougher games and so far, even though it's a few tutorial levels really, I'm finding it just wayy too easy.
I will pick it back up tonight and play a few levels. I'm assuming it may get tougher, but who knows ?Comment

I will be jumping to elite also. In the past GR was way too difficult on the hardest level. Times have changed.Simply *Magic* Just click the link and Watch :)

Re: Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
When I do have time to game I'm usually just playing a single player game.
I'll be picking this up on sale later in the year, like I do for most games now since I'm behind in playing stuff.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
