Future tech graphics... None of the other Ghost Recons were like this, but they definitely built off the G.R.A.W games and playing better than ever with future tech..Comment

Re: Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
I have some more singlel player impressions.
As I menteiond in my previous impression that I will jump into the elite level. I feel this game shines more on the Elite level, and this is the level where this game was meant to be played. On this level there is no tomorrow. What I mean by this is that you do not get a second chance. If you are shot down by the enemy your dead. Plain and simple, and I love that. It has forced me to take a much more serious and cautious approach towards a mission, and you do not feel cheap by using your gadgets.
I also wanted to point out that your AI squad mates do a solid job in shooting the enemy , and pointing out the enemies location. Everything is not left soley on your shoulders. You squad mates contribute nicely towards completing the mission.
Cut scenes look flat IMO, but it is not something to turn you off to this title. Right now Im liking the story, but I have more to go, and can't give a full impression on it.
Since I have jumped into the elite level. I have scored a 91% on my rating for the 1st mission, and then a 94% on the second, and a 96% on my 3rd. Im currently on the 4th mission. I will try very hard to go above the 96%. You are rewarded for being tactical and stealth.
If your looking for a much more serious shooter I say give this game a look. It is really drawing me deeper into it with the more tatical approach in completing a mission. It feels very refreshing for me, and if your that type of gamer I feel confident it will do the same to you.

I've found that the AI squad mates are far superior to human squad mates to a point where it cheapens the campaign when playing with them. Areas that took my human team multiple tries are breezed through by my AI squad mates. When you tag enemies they instantly know where to safely go on the map to pull off a sync shot, even to a point where they know they can shoot through multiple layers of materials like boards or walls. They're able to flat out run and advance through areas without becoming uncloaked and inhumanly know routes to take that allows them to not be spotted. They also know where the next group of baddies are so when you silently take out one group they'll rush ahead of you and then stop and wait for you to catch up.

Re: Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
I was going to second this. I've never had the guys shoot before I did. Now, once I engage they will open fire, but I've never had this problem before.Moderator

Re: Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
Here is a direct example of over anxious/knowledgeable AI which happened to me in the third mission.
SpoilerTowards the very end when you're tasked with retrieving the CIA files from the cars trunk at the gas station. There is an area with 7-8 guys and a helo flying overhead. Flying the drone overhead I systematically tag a few high priority targets (ones with elevation or guarding the exit walkway). After authorizing the 4 kills, I see 30K advancing through the zone where 3-4 enemies are still alive but unaware and make a bee-line to safe area near the car with the files in it and sit there and wait for the rest of us. I then tried to advance through the zone myself but since I didn't know the exact path he took I was spotted by the remaining enemies and a firefight broke out.
One of the tactical challenges on that mission is to get through that area and extract undetected so I restarted from the last checkpoint to redo it. The exact same situation occurred, the only difference was that it was Pepper that made the dash to the car this time.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
No complaints from me at all (Apart from a possible Ubisoft server mishap).
Having only played the mutliplayer on the Beta, me and my friend dove straight into the campaign and.. it was awesome.
If I'm honest I can't complain about the AI. The other two computer controlled guys in the squad seemed to do everything right for me. This is about the best tactical game I've played for some time.
My favourite part so far? Using the same gun but adapting it to the scenario. I took a Mk.48, collapsed the stock, shortened the barrel, attached a grip and added a red dot sight. Perfect for CQC. Next mission, re-extend the stock, add a long barrel, add a bipod and ACOG scope, I can now engage enemies at range.Comment
