I played the BC2 beta more than I played the MW2 full game. Just my preference , of course, but I couldnt get into MW2 at all.

      Re: COD: MW2 or BC2?

The "real life experience" in BC2 is what bores me about the game. I've played a lot of BF games(along with the BC2 demo) and didn't particularly like any of them. They weren't bad, but they're just sort of boring to me. I don't know. Games aren't supposed to be a representation of real life, unless they're sports games. That's why they're "games" and that's what makes them fun(because they're not real and don't represent real life, lol). No offense, but if I wanted to experience a real life war, I'd join the military. That's not really what I'm looking for in a video game. The perks, killstreaks, the smaller maps, and the high/fast paced style of MW2 is what makes the game fun and what makes it a "video game".

There are many non-sport games that are simulations their true to life counterparts and they are still considered games because if you err you arent really dead. And some find them much more enjoyable than abstractions of reality. There is nothing wrong with liking either one.

I can pretty much guarantee you no console game comes close to being in a real life war.

Oh I know. I was just giving my opinion as to why I don't exactly like BF games. But as I said, BF games are not bad by any means. I just didn't particularly like any of them. They were OK to me. More than likely I'll still end up getting BC2, though(I always do, lol). But not until the price goes down or if I can find someone on craigslist that's selling it for a reasonable price.

Ummm, what? So only sports games are supposed to repersent real life? How did you come to that conclusion?

That's a new one on me. To want one genre of games to be realistic, but others not to be.

We have all ours own taste though.

My personal interest is in strategy and teamwork. Slower paced, more "real" games tend to require you to work with people and execute plans. MW2 kinda ends up being everyone running around killing randomly, the random teams I'm usually on rarely work together at all.

That's the difference I look for in games.

Because they're two different games/genres. I want my sports games to be realistic. I don't want my shooter games to be all that realistic. I like the perks. I like the killstreaks. I like the fast paced style of MW2. It's what makes the game fun to me. It's personal preference though. There are some people who don't like realistic sports game. They may prefer NFL Street over Madden. It's all preference/opinion.

And I'm not trying to dog on BC2. I'm sure it will be one of the best sellers this year and millions will love it. BF games just aren't my style though.

                      Realistic is fun to me......

I prefer Tactics when I play games...

That goes for ALL games even board games..

People die when you shoot them in MW2... not so much in BC2. It literally takes 15 bullets to kill someone in that game. You usually run out of ammo in your clip after you kill someone in BC2, which makes killing multiple ennemies quickly extremely frustrating. The controls also feel clunky most of the time. That's one thing MW2 does better than any other FPS on consoles... the gunplay and overall feel of the controls is second to none. That is something BC2 and the BF series in general has lacked in all their games. There is something addicting about combining perks and weapons in MW2... after watching gameplay footage with commentaries on youtube, I always want to hop online and try using what the guy was using. Weapons is another strong point of MW2; there are plenty of them and they all feel different... few games can reproduce that effect.

BC2 does a better job with maps, since in MW2 the maps are so small that players spawning on top of each other is a common occurence. You also never really know where the ennemy is coming from most of the time thanks to the ****ed up spawning. The vehicles and large maps in BC2 also add another dimension of fun to the mix. I just ****ing hate it when half my team in BC2 is sniping and not trying to do the objectives.

                            Re: COD: MW2 or BC2?

I prefer MW2 and speaking of realistic both games need to be more realistic.

MW2 needs to be more realistic in stopping the super Solider. The guy who can run through 2 claymores, RUN AT YOUR BULLETS, and then kill you with one stab. Doesn't matter where they stab you at your dead instantly.

BF2 it takes a whole clip to drop a guy a lot of times in my experience at least. This happens in MW2 as well but usually that is the result of lag, but i've noticed it much more in BF2.

I enjoy both games for what they are. MW2 is a game I can pop in for 20 minutes and enjoy running with a huge variety of different weapons and perks. I enjoy the killstreaks and completing the challenges.

BF2 is awesome because of the destructible enviroments and just the bigger maps. No crazy spawns and I always kind of know where the enemy is, in which direction at least. A lot of times in MW2 an enemy will spawn 10 feet behind you a lot of times and everyone is just all over the place.

I think these games are completely different though, yes both FPS but different on how they approach it. MW2 is the arcade pick up and play shooter, BF2 is the more slow-paced tougher learning curve shooter.

                            I enjoy having both.

What? If your talking about having a Assault rifle and running at someone holding the trigger without controlling yourself then yes thats true but if you actually aim, take burst shots when needed and be patient you can kill people in 2 burst, 1 if your aiming at the head.

                              BTW Battlefield BC2.
