LOL! Hilarious. And people said this wouldn't be a MW2 killer.... it isn't absolute, but man with what Candyman just said, looks like alot of people are switching.

        BTW Battlefield BC2.
Sorry dude, but that's not the case. Even when shooting in bursts at a distance, you still end up with 10 bullets left in your clip once you're done killing him, which leaves you 10 bullets for the next guy you encounter if you don't reload. I've watched videos of very skilled players play this game on youtube with one of the best assault rifles in the game (the m16) and still experience what I'm claiming. I don't really see how you can argue that enemies are not damage sponges in this game... unless you play the hardcore mode.

BTW I know the game is called Battlefield BC2......... BC2 is much shorter to type.

          Lol. A MW2 killer?

There's currently 750,000 people playing MW2 and that's about how many their typically is when I get on. So no, it's not killing anything.

Yeah, dont get the impression I was trying to be a smart *** with that part. That was meant to answer the original posters question as to which one to get.

                Re: COD: MW2 or BC2?

COD: very fast paced, unrealistic shooter with constant kills / deaths, a lot of annoying people, glitches, bugs, noob tube (grenade launcher) fest, but still action packed and fun especially when playing with a large group

BFBC2: slower, more open, more realistic, more squad based, vehicles, but still can be annoying especially if the large group or your squad is annoying and doesn't communicate. brand new too so probably a lot of glitches.

Vehicles are so much easier to deal with, because someone is actually controlling them all.. rather then pressing right on the d pad and the cpu rack up kills for you.

I also enjoy the fact that it takes a little more skill to get the mid to long range grenade launcher kills. I would also note that it's no where near as frustrating being on the receiving end of the grenade launcher, either.

                  BC2 > MW2

If you don't believe me, start monitoring your' blood pressure when you play them both...

I'm not sure that makes much sense. You get WAY more kills in MW2 when you're actually controlling an air support such as the Chopper Gunner or the AC-130. I get maybe 2-3 kills, and sometimes none, from an attack heli, pavelow, or a harrier. If anything, it's more 'cheap' when you're actually controlling a vehicle/air support because quite simply.. you>CPU.

If you made every single air support in MW2 to be able to control yourself, it would be far more annoying.

At any rate, complaining about stuff like this is kind of moot. You can easily just play a hardcore playlist in mw2 if it's that big of a deal. Which going off of the BC2 demo and a few games at my friends house with the real game, hardcore mode in MW2 plays similar to that of BC2.

There's a degree of difficulty to using vehicles in Battlefield though. In MW2 all you have to do is point and shoot with the AC-130 or Chopper. Not everyone can fly the helicopter in Battlefield and get consistent kills with it. Some people are really good at it and can rack up the kills, but there's a high degree of difficulty to getting really good at it.

It will certainly be interesting to re-visit threads like this in a few months. BC2 is getting tons of praise right now, but so was MW2 two days after its release (and far beyond).

I haven't played BC2 so I can't really comment on it. I will say that I LOVE MW2... one of the best online shooters i've ever played. I haven't played it to death as many have, but it's basically the only game i've played since it's release and i'm still having a blast with it.

From what i've seen BC2 seems pretty awesome as well. If I had more friends to play with I would give it a shot, but doesn't seem like the best game to play only with randoms. Sure seems to me like you can't go wrong with either game... opinions are like "you know what".

Granted I rarely find that I "hate" games... just seems like people are WAY to critical these days! Maybe it's because they didn't grow up playing Atari and Intellivision!

Oh I know. He was just making it seem like it's cheaper when the CPU racks up kills for you when in fact it's the opposite.

I just find it odd that so many people are borderline insulting/trashing MW2 now as if it's now dead in the water. I shouldn't be surprised, though, it's like that with all new games. It's like people feel the need to trash the previous 'big' or 'hit' game once a new one comes out(a little here on OS, but moreso on other gaming sites).

And yes, it will be interesting to re-read this thread somewhere down the line. A lot people are simply fascinated with their new game right now that they praise it to death. After awhile it won't be so fascinating and people will find ways to glitch/boost and you'll start seeing more complaints coming in as it always is.

I won't lie either, I myself was a bit fascinated with BC2 at first when I played it at a friends Tuesday. But that's how I am with all new games when I first play them. Maybe BC2 is different, but I wasn't a fan of the demo and I've never been a fan of any BF games, that's why I haven't made the purchase. Plus the fact that I just bought MW2 last month and I'm still loving it. I'll wear down the treads on MW2 first, and then I'll think about purchasing BC2 if it's still as great as people say it is right now.

I don't think BC2 is less fun or fulfilling than MW2 playing solo by any means. I bought the game on release day and haven't joined a squad or talked on the mic at all and I've had a blast. Sure you are going to get some games, especially on Conquest, where people try to deathmatch instead of going for flags, but that happens all the time on MW2 Domination as well. I never played BC1 but this game takes me back to the days of 1942, Vietnam, and especially Battlefield 2. It's definitely a different style game than the Call of Duty games, but I wouldn't say that it's dependent on close knit squads to have a good time or have success in the game.

The bigger maps and teams and the dedicated servers make the game feel more polished. I've yet to have that feeling that I've gotten beat head to head against someone solely because of the connection. That happens all the time in MW2.
