I agree people who say MW2 has no teamwork well BF2 is the exact same way. Any game is that way when you play with random people because everyone treats every game like TDM and they want the most kills.

Last night on BF2 I was playing with randoms and everyone on my team was staying in one place sniping, no teamwork and as a result we got hammered. This happens in Mw2 all the time as well.

I don't think its fair to use the teamwork argument in favor of either game because unless your playing with friends or luckily get in a room with people who want to win the objective teamwork goes out the window in all FPS.

Agreed. You can definitely have teamwork with both games. I have been with friends on MW2 and its great when you are winning and playing organized. That said, sometimes its a bit easier to organize yourself with strangers in BC2 simply because the game is slower paced and the maps are much more open.

the COD series has always been a faster, more twitch based affair than the battlefield games. So both offer a different gamestyle depending on what you prefer. My personal opinion is it depends what you are in the mood for. I won't stop playing mw2 just because i am playing bc2. There are those nights i just want to run and gun and have everything moving at a faster pace.

All that said, the best way to play these games are with friends. You become a cohesive unit and you begin to compensate for weaknesses in the group. Best nights in these games are shared with people who want to succeed and do it as a group.

This is pretty much the same story when a new shooter is released. People rave about how it's so "tactical", but the community NEVER play the game the way it is intended. They always try to lonewolf it. It's always, "Screw the objectives, I'm gonna rack up my kills". Most shooters end up in this category at one point or another. That's why I opted out of BFBC2. All I need is one shooter.

I guess you can always run with friends, but still.

It's also somewhat tougher to get teamwork in BC2 because they limit voice chat to just people in your squads. I know its to reduce having to hear 12 people talking at once, but its much harder to work as a team when you can only talk to 3 other people instead of 11.

I think it will be less prevalent in bc2 after a few days because 'lone-wolfing' it just doesnt work in the long run. Amazingly enough, people see others moving together and they just move with the group. It's been the exact opposite experience for me in mw2 after months of playing ( again unless playing with friends).

If you are gonna go at it alone, expect to run into groups with vehicles to back them up and just decimate you. If by then you do not realize there is strength in numbers then you got bigger problems. =)

A squad of 4 is very effective. If you can somehow get all 4 squads working together, its absolute craziness. That is perhaps the only thing i can see as a problem: coordination between all 4 squads to a side.

I haven't played much BC2 yet so I don't think it's fair for me to comment on that aspect of the game. As far as MW2, I agree. TDM is pure craziness with everyone just running around doing their own thing. No teamwork involved whatsoever. I've found that Search & Destroy is a bit more team oriented however. Last night I was in a game with a bunch of randoms and we were all communicating and telling each other where they are/what to do. It was great.

If you find the right people, or if you team up with friends, it can an organized-team effort and a whole hell of a lot more fun to play. I'm sure BC2 is the same way. And quite honestly, it's like that in all FPS'. If you're searching alone, more times than not you're going to get matched with people who just want to get kills and don't really care about winning as a team.

                  Re: COD: MW2 or BC2?

Im playing lone wolf in BC2 but I'm having a blast. For now I'm sticking with Conquest, it has that old BF1942, BF2 feel to it that I used to love.

The vehicles just add a new element to it that MW2 doesn't have. You can dominate with a tank but you aren't invincible by any means. So far I've had pretty competitive games, people tend to go for the objectives and not just camp out for kills too much.

There's just so many ways to get points in this game that you don't have to sit around camping a spot. Spot people and the assists rack up....

I bet GameStop isn't happy about the sudden increase in copies of MW2. I know at least four people who traded in their MW2 towards Bad Company 2.

My gamestop has 6 rows with 6-7 MW2 in each row and I was told like 4 of them rows were traded in that day, I was laughing. I think that the 50% extra trade in also helped the cause.

I'm pissed. I should've waited to get MW2 then. I got it about 3 weeks ago. There's 3 gamestops within a couple miles from me and NONE had ANY used MW2's. I caved in and bought a new one. But I could've saved a lot of money considering I bought the game with trade in credit(traded in like 3 games). And now with this 50% trade in deal they have going, plus the plethora of used MW2's now, I could've gotten the game and probably only would've had to trade in 1 game. Oh well.

I better get my butt to Gamestop to trade in MW2 and pick up either Heavy Rain or The Show and BF: BC 2 before they drop the trade-in value from $35..

I'd do it in a heartbeat. That new trade in deal is ridiculous.
