Yea... Some of the news about this game is disappointing and I think its a decision that's being passed off on to the consumer. Meaning my assumption is that less is going into this game in order to effect the bottom line because the publisher believes people are going to blindly purchase on namesake alone.

I'm happy with only 40 people max. I absolutely hate the 64 player games of battlefield. Not controlling the walkers kind of sucks, but I can kind of understand not wanting a big part of the gameplay like that being sabotaged by a few morons.

I'm actually glad the player count has been dialed back as I find 64 player doesn't run very smooth in BF4 & hardline on the PS4 as the framerate tends to suffer. I wish the At-At's were controllable but it still doesn't take away my excitement for the game. I just hope dice has learned from there BF4 launch debacle.

I'll still buy it because it's a DICE game and it'll hopefully be somewhat similar to their Battlefield games.

But too bad they can only implement 40 players, I love 64 player conquest large on BF4 and BFHL.

The more unsuspecting players on the map to find and kill, the better.

PS2 Version:
Clone Wars and Galactic Civil War
Space battles
64 players on PC version (including tons of bots)
30 unique vehicles
26 Maps all with different variants.
Single Player Campaign
23 playable Heroes & Villains

New version:
Only Galactic Civil War
No Space battles
Only 40 players with no bots.
Only 6 confirmed vehicles. AT-ATs aren't even playable.
Only 4 planets
No Single Player Campaign

It's confirmed for missions, but has it been confirmed if you can have any in a multiplayer game or just in an offline game(which I don't think exist outside of missions)

Honestly a remastered version of battlefront 2 would be 1000x better than what I've seen of this game thus far. I dont know how there can be such a massive step down in number of features when it's two gaming systems later

Well for you it would, for me it would be great.

I'm sure like us, there are two sides hoping as to what transpires (gameplay wise).

We'll both have to wait and see once actual gameplay starts showing up.

I dont get it, in all honesty Battlefront has always been a 3rd person Battlefield game.

I always think of 3rd person as well even though the previous games had first person. Not sure what view I'll use the most will have to wait & see what feels best.

Don't get me wrong I am not saying BF games sucks but I just want this to be different than the BF games but with Dice making this game it's probably going to be like it. I hope not though.
