Just beat the game last night and didn't mind the story at all. It wasn't a great story like in Origins but it wasn't as bad as some people said.

The ending I had was pretty cool, yet I don't like the mages now.

I'm beginning to like Merrill's twisted sense of humor. I was in the Last Sacrifice quest at the point where we found Ninette's severed hand. Merrill said, "It doesn't mean anything. A person can live without a severed hand". I got a big kick out of that. Or maybe she was serious?

Just beat the game over the weekend. Good game, but for me not the same level of satisfaction I got with Origins. The decisions in this game didn't carry the same emotional weight as those in Origins. Plus some of the end game didn't make sense to me. It was a great ending boss battle though.

So I had an odd glitch when I beat the game before heading on vacation:

So I had the fling with Isabela with my male, 2H Warrior, but then had the "real" relationship with Merril and told her I loved her, yada yada yada, during the end game and her personal quest. Yet, in the ending voice over, Varric says that I "stayed with Isabela". Very odd...

The only thing I can think of is the ending of her quest, when you have to kill the Keeper and talk to the Dalish. I told them to back off when they accused her and then of course slaughtered the lot of them. In my game Merril never mentioned that event at all after...another glitch?

Um...damn. Wish I would've known that but I rarely carry two mages. For a while I was rolling with Fenris, Varric and Bethany. After I left the Deep Roads I've now switched to Fenris, Isabella and Anders.

So I won't be able to beat Act 1, at least not this time. I've gotten my party wiped out at least 11 times trying to beat the Ancient Rock Wraith. I think it was a mistake getting to Level 15 before I did that fight, it made the fight a lot harder, even on casual. Maybe I should have put some points in Strength(to help with fortitude), Lightning Ward may have worked some, but I'll have to start all over.I may just go back to DA 1 and give this game a break for awhile.

Or just put it on easy?

I wasn't able to beat alot of the harder battles on Hard till the end of act 2 or so. At that point I took a "Makers Sigh" Rebuted my Hawk, and became the most devastating 2H Warrior of all time. The domination was great.

It was on the easiest level. I guess I'll just start again.
