Re: Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
45 hours down. The House of Valor quest line was pretty cool.
Hard is really just Normal. It's not without challenge, but Reckoning mode, abundance of potions, and being able to slot regen gems in your armor pieces (which stack) make things even easier. You also have certain abilities and skills that are simply OP. Completionists are probably going to find themselves over-leveled when they get to new areas, except for dungeons which scale a bit.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Is blacksmithing worth putting into? Seems like I get the most usefulness out of sagecrafting out of anythingComment

I have the game on HARD and rarely die with the exception of the occasional crate I don't dispel in time. Maybe the ME3 weapons and armor give you too much a boost early on.

Re: Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
I would stick with just Sagecraft. You can create some ridiculously powerful gear with Blacksmithing + Sagecrafting, but it all looks really generic compared to the unique drops. Crafted gear use templates and there's not many of them.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
Yeah, I'm totally ignoring blacksmithing myself, but I do that in all games. Creating super overpowered gear isn't something I'm into. This is also probably the first RPG that I can remember where I haven't bought any weapons or armor. I haven't even looked at any of the weapons and armor in the stores, finding stuff is just so much cooler, IMO.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Re: Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
Out of curiosity: I am a story gamer. Story is very important to me and this game feels kind of empty. I know others have blown off the story and are having fun, but is there anyone who enjoys a good story feeling like the game is not doing it for them?DON'T PANICComment

I think the story is pretty good. I really enjoyed the Mel Shanir raid and story.
Plus I love juggling guys in the air as a archer.GT: Event Horizon 0Comment

I'm a story gamer too, and I'm actually enjoying the story a lot. IMO, of the RPG's that have come out in the last few years, Only the Mass Effect games have better stories and lore.Jordan Mychal Lemos

People are talking about Mel Shanir, I'm almost 50 hours in and don't feel like I'm close to getting to Mel Shanir. I'm not even to Detyre yet.Jordan Mychal Lemos
