Not saying the guy doesn't have good points (except for example #2 on the first case, he clearly drops to 35% health and then 0), but at the end when he says the better part of his deaths have been because of these issues it struck me as whining. Yeah sure dude, you'd go 30-2 every round if the BETA wasn't buggy.

Case 3 happened to me so often it wasn't funny in MW2 and Black Ops.

That first death looked like bullet penetration ricocheted and head shot. This game has destructible environments and bullet penetration, does this dude not know that? How is a thin metal cabinet gonna stop bullets on the edge?

      Pretty bad *** to me.

The first 2 are clear HEAD SHOTS... look how dark red the top screen is, as well as he is dropping 20 feet (regardless i know, but looks legit more so).

Did not watch the rest due to the fact that was actually complained about. To me they looked like head shots.

I don't care what does or doesn't happen in other games, it doesn't somehow make acceptable here. Everybody is on the defensive when something is criticized. Bullets still registering through cover was an issue in BC2 at times, but it's even more prevalent in the BF3 beta.

I actually wondered about that... I've gotten my share of getting shot after rounding a corner so I thought that might be the case.

I wasn't mentioning the other two games to say it makes it okay that there are client-server lag issues, it's just that those are the only two recent FPS's I've played and can compare it to (well, Brink, but I don't even know what the server architecture was for that one).

I would have had a better impression of the video if he'd have just left his last little disclaimer out. It's not like this is only happening to him - I'm sure some of the players he's killed were victims of the same kind of lag/netcode issues.

I've learned the fans of this series are ridiculously defensive over any criticism. Twitter goes crazy over it.

MW3 and BF3 are in a giant tug of war right now. Mostly due to EA and Activision. Free marketing at its finest when you get the trolls riled up on various forums. Good to see some thoughtful discussion here on OS taking place.

I don't know. I am a bigger Battlefield fan but wasn't in love with the demo and had tweet after tweet attacking me for being a cod fanboy. Never dealt with that before to the extent it was.

Yeah the bullets going through cover and around corners somehow does have me worried.

I just hate the run and gun tactics in the demo. Too bad they are not penalized for this and rewarded for being more tactical. Countless 30-15 stats that keep promoting with better guns which only leads to better spawn killing.

The first day I played I was in a firefight with some guy, we both emptied out our clips point blank and swapped to our pistols, but neither of us got hurt. Some guys came along and eventually killed me. There's not really much tips to say for shooting. I shoot in bursts of 2-3 bullets from medium to long range, and I unload up close. That seems effective to me in just about every shooting game I have played.

Press select on the controller to spot them.

I believe the supression is just for shooting at them in general. Their screens get blurred which makes it tougher for them to do anything.

You'll need to unlock defibrillators and find a dead teammate to revive them.

If you just click the right analog, you'll only crouch. If you hold it in you'll go prone.

As for the flashlights, I don't seem to have problems with them. It actually helps me. I don't have good eyes so I can't spot movement in the tunnels as well, but it most certainly helps me if I just see some random lights flashing. I just unload in that general area and it seems to get me the kill.
Thanks a lot and I agree with almost all, thus I still think flashlight in sunlight enviroment are overpowered, wise campers just turn them on when you past right in front of them and they are as powerfull as in dark sites.

By the way, seems that I finally got the feeling of the game (that or more noobs were on this afternoon) as in all my games of this afternoon (but 1) was able to get some kills and explode some bombsites and finish top 4 of my team (including many as top 1st).

Again, thanks and please add me on psn.

The flashlight thing is debatable because 900 lumen tactical lights will still blind your *** at 100 meters in broad daylight at high noon (150+ lumens easily 30 yards). So without knowing the "specs" the lights they are using for the game, we can't really argue.

That same lite will also melt your flesh touching the lens and cost upwards of $800. Have one for my M4 kit. And there even higher lumen lite kits. 1200 plus. I am just using the 900 as a base cause of what it can really do in broad daylight.

Just have to think cautiously. Guy hiding in bush and you didn't see him, he has the jump regardless.

As for hit detection. There is some issue yes. The servers are also very laggy sometimes at the moment. But I do know there is penetration on a lot of objects. It is by design. And more realistic. Especially thin corners. I remember devs talking about it for the FrostBite in BC2.

The first couple of deaths were not convincing enough. The second was a clear headshot. Which is one hit kill regardless.

I'll watch the rest when I get home. Just like all FPS games. Needs to be worked on. But not 100% curable. Internet is unpredictable.

Ffaacc if I can somehow get you on my squad you will be fine. Not to sound like in great or something but just watch what I do. You learn by observing others tactics an then trying to figure out something better that works for you. This isn't a big react game. Try an out smart your enemy, it pays off.

DICE: Squads are only accessible on Battlelog, no squad management in game.

According to the Battlefield 3 community manager, zh1nt0, the squads can only be managed on Battlelog and not in the actual game.

This means you can no longer create squads/make private squads while in game. You can only join or leave squads.

Hundreds of Battlefield fans are dissapointed and many are cancelling their PC pre-orders right now. Nothing is yet confirmed on how consoles will work. (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.

I'm actually enjoying the battlelog. Works fast and efficient for me. In game server browsers have been so buggy and take forever to refresh.

Now I do like that you can set up squads on it. And they want it to be more of a community portal which it can be. Much more than anything in game could. But they still need in game squad management at least. I can live without laggy, slow in game lock up server browsers.
