Re: Battlefield 3
Two things, once I got a scope on my M16, it made a huge difference. So much easier to watch over an area with the ACOG on there. Also, love how you only unlock for each weapon. So, so great.
Second, perhaps I'm not used to it yet, but does anyone think the flashlight is a bit much? It's only blinded me indoors so far, so outdoors I'm guessing it actually doesn't have much of an effect at all.Comment

I also hate the fact I can't choose a squad to go into manually in game. Battlelog is awesome.... but there are a few things that should remain in game. This being one of them.Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo

I am okay with the flashlight, because I know what they can do IRL. And this is actually tame compared to RL.
You can always fight fire with fire, and use it back. It makes for them to be easier targets too. So it has it's advantages and disadvantages. Quick tip, aim just above center of the flare, and bang goes the foe and his annoying flashlight.
900 lumens will blind you at 100 meters even in broad daylight IRL. Most people who never seen a tactical light can not grasp this... they think traditional flashlights, and by no means are these "traditional". They use them for a reason, and that is to stun the enemy, and they can blind indoors with low light for up to 5 minutes or more.Last edited by EnigmaNemesis; 10-02-2011, 09:26 PM.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: Battlefield 3
Have noticed the CoD style hit detection of I see them and shoot first, but then I die and see the other guy still has 100% health. Been killed a few times around corners, and I guarantee its not from bullet penetration, its clearly from client-server lag issues, where on my screen I'm clear of fire, but I'm still out in the open on another client which is reporting to the server first.
Can't remember if these were big issues in BC2. I remember it happening occasionally but nowhere near as much as CoD. I still feel Halo has the best hit detection out of all shooters.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Agreed about the ACOG.

Do we know how close they blind outdoors in the game? Also, not many people are using it, which is nice.Comment

Re: Battlefield 3
Well after knowing that, I'm more alright with it. I think once I get used to seeing them, I won't freak out each time and instead I'll just shoot straight at it which I've done a few times so far.

Once we get used to it and not be a "ooooh pretty light" like a bug, we will be fine. Like I said, aim just above the flair and "pop pop".
I think it is about 30 feet or so (which is very minor compared to what they can do IRL). I never had an issue in daylight. Only the laser site was a minor annoyance.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: Battlefield 3
This game is way too buggy for me right now. Still getting it release day, but I think I'm done with this beta until they at least patch it. I can't tell you how many times I'm getting stuck under the map and committing suicide to get out. When I'm under I see about 5 people caught down there too, kind of weird that there's that many glitch holes in the game right now. Still getting it release day, but probably done for a bit so I don't get pissed and cancel my order hahaComment
