    Re: Battlefield 3

Hm...I may have to try the 'War Tapes' audio setting...sounds cool.

I had zero success in BF2 MP last year; I just could not adapt to that style of play, large maps, and death seemingly from everywhere LOL. COD habits die hard, and I tend to run n gun in COD and have a crap k/d.

However, I picked up BF3 anyway, and this year I'm going to attempt to commit to the MP and be a help to whatever team I'm on by being a medic. I will try to play through and level him up, despite what I'm sure will be frustrating rounds for me..and I have to do like you guys say and not sweat my k/d; just focus on team help and points.

Hopefully this year I won't die too much and can have some fun. :o Too bad there's no bots/combat training type MP modes like what Black Ops had for practicing the maps.

The audio and visuals in SP are just amazing. I'll fire up the MP tonight or tomorrow. If you guys see 'SoundChaser67' scuttling aimlessly around the action in your Xbox 360 round, that's me.

                Ugh!

I'm still not decided on which version to get, I hate using R1 to shoot! I may have to just delete GTA and Black ops with all it's DLC, that should free up plenty of space

                Edit-

                Screw It!

                I just free'd up 8Gb's

                  Re: Battlefield 3

Boy Im not very good at this game. I played bad co a bit but haven't really played an FPS in probably a year and it shows. I was still managing to be in the middle of the pack on my teams on maps I've never played, but im finding it so hard to see people. I see no players or markers. And yet im killed constantly head on. Is a 50-inch tv too small or something?

Hopefully as I play on and get used to the maps and get more accustomed to the game i'll improve.

Kind of funny story, I tried to fly a helicopter in my second round ever because it was just sitting there with no one around. Literally crashed and killed myself within 10 seconds of taking off. Fail.

The campaign is really good so far. At least as good as MOH, which I thought was outstanding. I have no idea why reviewers have been kind of slamming it.

One of the biggest things to remember is patience. In all aspects. Be patient in learning the new style and also when playing. Don't be the guy who runs across an area and gets taken down. Just wait that extra time and be the guy who kills the one who ran across the area because you were willing to be patient and hold a position.

That was the biggest thing I had to get used to in BC2. Sprint is there to get from cover to cover quickly, not get around the map quickly. Take your time and be patient and you'll be doing better in no time at all.

It would be nice if people would spot players, but most do not seem to use that feature. I'm not sure why as you get points for spotting if that player ends up being killed by someone else.

I haven't gotten into SP yet. I have been really busy and haven't gotten to play much. Just a few times on MP.

I keep seeing negative things about SP, but no one really says why it's garbage. What is so bad about it?

Good tips and remember to always spot. Which is the select button.

Be careful what teammate you spawn on. If you guys are in a gun fight and some of your squad mates die, take cover and wait for them to spawn.

There is a great video for multiplayer tips in Battlefield Bad Company 2, but I can't find the link. Most of the tips on that video would hold true to BF3 as well.

When you try to revive a team mate and all you hear is swearing does that mean they chose not to be revived?

They should add a Do Not Resuscitate button when you die. So at least medics won't go across the battlefield to revive someone that is just going to curse at them.

Spotting doesn't seem to be as effective as BC2. Or not many people are doing it.

I think I heard a dev saying they wanted medics to be on the front line pushing with the assault class.

Plus they thought it would make sense if the heavy MG carried the ammo.

Anybody know how to unlock the M320 Smoke? I got through with the M320 frag and it unlocked the M320 Dart. Do i level up with the dart or keep leveling up with the frag grenade launcher?
