Yeah, the flashlights are even more annoying when you're own teammates shine it in your face and an enemy is five feet away...

      Re: Battlefield 3

So I've been considering building a gaming PC for this, since I'd really like to take advantage of all the DirectX 11 features and 64 player battles. I'm not 100% familiar with the building process, but I generally know all the component and compatibility requirements. Starting with the CPU and GPU, I was wondering if any of you are familiar, and think it would be preferable to look at the AMD Radeon HD 6950 GPU (~$230), and the Intel i5-2500K Sandy Bridge (3.3 GHz) CPU (~$210)? I'm using the Battlefield 3 recommended settings on their official website as a blueprint, but was wondering if I'm maybe aiming too high on the PC components? Are there cheaper alternatives that produce the game in high-highest settings?

Yes you can. Left trigger on the 360. Not sure about the others though.

Game is great on its on merits, but between the server issues, the disconnects, the lag, the not being able to join a squad, friends getting split into different teams etc... looks like server issues could certainly have a huge negative impact on this title.
Couldn't take a large party into a game of Black Ops for almost a month after it came out.

COD always has significant online issues when the game comes out, every AAA multiplayer game does (except for Halo games, which seem to avoid that plague).

Has anyone set up a PS3 controller for Windows 7 64-bit? I want to try out all my options to see which works best for me with flying.

People really need to attempt to disarm the mcom. My team literally had 5-6 people staring at it hoping to find and enemy to kill. I would then spawn seconds later and disarm it myself. I understand covering the objective to allow others to disarm, but you really only need a few people to do so.

yea I love the game but the K/D ratio clowns are still there. I was hoping adding TDM would get rid of them but they think they are good by camping and killing people going for objectives. Little do they know they are losers.

Anyone know how to use the EOD bot? A control scheme tip did not come up when I tried to use it.

Ok MAV + MORTAR = Gamechanger.

Mortar is still weak though. The guy on the mav told me i had a few direct hits and they didn't die.

Someone a while back posted with real world knowledge that the flashlights that are used on these guns are accurately bright, even in broad day light. That's what they are used for.

Yep. An 800 lumen and above tactical light can blind in broad daylight. And melt the flesh off the skin. Have on on my RL M4 kit. $800 Surefire.

Battlelog is fine. It's when you get into a game everything is reset.
