Metro and Damavand peak are just vertical tunnels, while Seine Crossing is just a bad map for everything. Linear flag positions are terrible for Conquest.

Yeah those maps can turn into a Spawn Trap Fest, if you start with the Subway spawn in Metro Conquest, and you get pushed back on a random team you can forget 'bout it... you're not getting out.

Try defending a base with Recon. Instead of a sniper rifle, use a Shotty and just wait for the enemy. At least you will get the Recon points to unlock other weapons in the kit. If you have the sensor plant that around the flag.

The Recon class needs a way to defend against vehicles though. If a tank rolls through to the base all you can do is hope one of your teammates understands that you are in trouble. I wish they still had the C4 option on them.

yeah, I'm doing that now...sometimes I'll defend and no one is coming for a long time and I move and BAM they're taking the capture point lol...

There are empty slots though...maybe C4 eventually? BFBC2 I remember mortar strikes as another poster mentioned and I could have C4 as a recon/sniper setup. I'll have to grind it out though...I have the sensor and BF's version of 'tactical insertion' which is way more usefull in this game for sure. I've had people sneak up and kill me or win a gun fight at close range, only for me to spawn at my beacon find them and blow their face off! YEAH! lol

But I do feel 'vulnerable' compared to support class with med kits. Playing alone without buds, support is probably the best because you can recover if no one is responding to their team's needs etc. So far I have found the need for ammo irrelevant. I think good engineer's are most responsible for winning games though.

Was just on playing a little TDM with some OSers...

I dropped off the ledge on Tehran Highway and snuck up behind 4 enemies and started dropping c4 around them and they finally noticed me as I was trying to haul *** out of the way and I detonated the c4 before I got shot down and took out all 4 of them...

I LOVE THIS GAME!

Metro is a TDM nightmare. I figured we would win anyways, so I tried out the shotgun. I had more kills with the M320 and knife then the actual gun. I went into one of the upstairs buildings outside and knifed/took dog tags from three straight people. You would think the other two would have noticed me when I was slicing up his partner across the room..

Much better night tonight. Went about 15-1. I hate sniping, bores me to tears.

Double-tap A/X for console. Whatever the jump button is for PC.

thanks man...some things in this game just aren't intuitive to me

ps. Anyone else think it's weird that you can't leave a match in between, but only during?? I should be able to go to the menu anytime I want.

I've been playing against very good opponents which can make things a bit frustrating. With the snipers not being one-shot kills I may just abandon them most of the time and be a tank dude or something.

Just don't open the chute too soon or you'll be waiting 5 minutes while you slowly float down (learned from experience). Plus you can actually get shot out of the sky too if someone notices you.

You can't die from the terminal velocity of the fall, just the impact if you let it happen. Also, if you're jumping out of a plane or heli don't do it too far away from the main map area, because you'll be considered out of bounds and die automatically within 10 seconds.

Had some good rounds with Bob, Dan, and Koolie tonight. A couple of close games and a totally crushing a few teams were great. Nothing is more frustrating and funny when you get killed cause you re spawned on someone just as they are getting gunned down.
