All I know is since having this from the release (I'm sure you too) I have not ONCE seen regular conquest, only conquest assault.
Yes you pretty much said that. I stated that there is most definitely conquest as i have played rounds where there were 4 or 5 capture points compared to the normal 3 on conquest assault. You go on and quote suggesting I may have joined a match midway which makes absolutely no sense.

I finally got the 5 squad deathwatch wins and I believe it took about 10-12 rounds with my buddy. God that was awful. It's just aimlessly running around killing people.

Apparently the spawning was improved, but from what I've seen they are still terrible. I can't imagine how it was pre patch. I was in a lav and guys would occasionally spawn right in my sights. Often times I would spawn and my squad would spawn on me, we move up just a bit. 5 seconds later some guy spawns behind us where we just spawned and get an easy 3-4 kills from behind.

Thanks Dan. Hopefully somebody will have something because I was so turned around on that map that it wasn't even funny.

I'm happy just to have more kills than deaths.

I'm starting to get a little better though. Baby steps.

Guess I'm still learning just to turn over and put my feet in my mouth then, since I get giddy with the occasional aberration that is a positive k/d round in TDM. Way more rare in Conquest and Rush. lol

            Oh and yeah, Metro....

Literally got it handed to us. I felt COMPLETELY worthless on that map. I don't know if it's because I haven't played it much but I was completely lost. I couldn't tell my head from my arse on that map. What's the strategy for that map and are there any videos or anything that show the way around?

              Ahem...lol

I'm no expert, needless to say, but one thing you can do from the beginning if you are starting at A (which I'm pretty sure is the inside deployment) is head straight to C. If you stay in the tunnel and head straight to the back, the escalators there take you past B and you can usually make it past everybody on the opposite team, as they are likely worried about getting to B to secure that flag and set up a line of defense for people coming from the side entrance and up the first set of escalators. It's always absolutely hectic at the beginning at B as teams usually get there at about the same time. So most of the time you can get outside to C with no one noticing you. And nobody is typically outside as they always head to B.

Once you've captured C is when it gets tough as their base is right there so they have constant reinforcements. In addition, some will leave B to come outside after they realize that C was taken. But this is also helpful for your team taking B, as now there will be less people at B.

In most of my games though, the team that holds B, wins. So haul *** to B to secure it from jump whether your playing US or RU. Forget about the easy points at the first flag. Most people will wait to secure A or C at the beginning which is unnecessary. It doesn't take 10 people to secure a flag. So take advantage and get to B. Once there, set up a good defense around the B flag by making sure to cover up all entry points, and you should be good.

At least that's my strategy. And that only works for the beginning of the game. But like I said, in my experience, whoever secures B at the beginning usually wins.

That's all I got for that map. Anything else you're going to have to ask the pros. lol

Not to sound like a jerk or like I'm the Brett Hart of Battelfield, but damn. I don't think I've ever seen that many tickets left over after a win. Don't we only start with 300 or 350 tickets. lol

From the looks of it, you guys weren't doing a bad job dealing with them. I'm just guessing they gobbled up all the flags quickly and kept you guys pinned down at your base. I hate when that happens.

It's not necessarily true that whoever contains b for the first few moments will win the match. It all depends on how well they do defending the entrances. You absolutely cannot allow someone to sneak by and take the back (A/C) objective. Everyone on your team will panic and at least half of them will run back to secure it, but will give up b in the process which is a no-no.

Thanks Magic. Yeah, it was an all-timer rough round. I had (for me) a great round individually and support-wise, but we just could NOT hold a flag. It felt like there were 50 of them, and they wound up pinning us all the way back to the Platform flag where we spawned. Pure hot lead and shrapnel!

Gulf of Oman does have a pseudo regular conquest mode, but as was said each team starts with two points already captured so its more of a blend between regular conquest and counquest assault.

So that would make it Consault, or the more catchy Assquest.
