I notice no one puts on a headset unless Koolie is playing.

I know I've got the strong southern dialect and I spend the majority of some rounds shouting expletives at the TV, but all I want is some conversation

There really is no telling how much random stuff I say and I don't pay attention. I'm also guilty of saying "behind you" and everyone on the squad turns around. It's usually happening so fast I can't get a name out.

Even when I'm on a roll I'm still cussing people as I kill them. I expect that if I was killing someone with a knife in real life, I would cuss them too..

If I see a fellow OSer with a mic, I'll plug mine in. Otherwise it's just 12 year old boy cursing or someone who is way cooler than I am having a conversation with his buds about bud and not the objective @ hand.

Not true. If I play, I always have on my headset. I can't hear crap out of my TV. I mute it a lot because I figured people get tired of me yelling and griping. LOL.

But I probably don't count. haha

Uses of Mic While Playing Battlefield 3...

That was one of the most fun things we've ever done

I remember being on the receiving end of that crap. On Close Quarters of all places.

I'd drop a couple of you, then one of you would get me. Then in the kill cam I'd see the squad tea bagging go on. EVERY time.

So. Damn. Funny.

I did squad wipe you bitches once. So suck it. Lol

The top guys with mics are actually pretty annoying.

They take it way too seriously and it removes the "fun" out the game.

I use the mic to bitch about **** buckets and laugh at my own teammates dying. Dont know why, but whenever I catch one of you die "live" it cracks me up. Lol

I know I do my fair share of "that's bull" and "no way he killed me", but just the example of TMagic and I schemeing against Nuni the other night (although we failed miserably) is a great reason to use the mics, even if you have to listen to some complaints.

I just love talking to the people in the game. Nuni, Magic & Chase are just hilarious. Kt-od is the king of "Come on man, I just emptied an entire clip into that guy's face and he kills me?" I love it. 65 South is great as well. I know I'm forgetting some of the mic'd up regulars, but it always makes the game more enjoyable for me when people are on their mics.

Nuni, good games last night on Karkand, we dominated as usual. I've decided I like you on on my team, not against me.

I used to squad up with MikeNoob and a few of the guys from the clan he was playing in. Those guys are really good, but annoyed the **** out of me.

I don't need someone telling me what to do.. I would rather someone ask me. I make suggestions sometimes if I think we may could try something differently, but I'm not the type of person to demand anything.

"Hey Nuni, throw me some ammo now". Oh, you're engineer ? "Nuni, switch to support and give me some ammo".

"Koolie, get out of this tank and repair me. Are you listening ? I said get out the *** **** tank and repair me"

I'm sure all of that would blow over real well.

There are some real idiots out there with a mic in this game, but most guys I run into aren't that bad. We all play for fun and enjoy winning and no one has to be telling anyone what they need to do. Even when we don't have a mic on, everyone works together well.

I'm one of those who doesn't mic up. I spend most of my day socializing and BSing people for business.

When I play I just want to unwind. But I can usually pick up the chatter and use it when it helps.

Like I said that night, I'm clearly the Robert Horry of BF3, with the way you guys talk about me.. riding everyone's coat tails/stealing kills to championships and such.

Just like Horry, I'm there when it counts the most.

Hm....I guess my NBA equivalent is Jim McIlvaine.

Big, white, doesn't move that well, steady but unremarkable, capable of the occasional slam dunk.....but mostly winds up on the receiving end due to some situational awareness issues

That's Jac for you, Empire is the complete opposite. He's just saying talking about random things and throwing in jokes. Sometimes I wonder how those two got along with each other, became buddies and nearly play any new game together. Polar opposites. Not surprisingly, Jac is the better of the two by far as well.
