Wow had no idea people will be playing THIS early. And yes that does suck because of inevitable spoilers.

The point I WAS going to make- out of the tiny tidbits R* has given us, think of the amount of amazingness waiting for us to find on our own.

About a million "Holy ****! That. Was. AWESOME".

The home stretch is always the longest. Some slooooow 3 weeks ahead of us, gents.

Edit: yep, but according to Microsoft you have to redownload the content for the liscenses to update so I would lose all my progress I assume ughh
License has nothing to do with your saves. As long as they are on your hard drive you'll be alright. It's the only way to transfer Arcade games as well. Had to do it last year.

Yeah but I have to delete the games and redownload for the liscense to take effect(supposedly) so are you saying I can actually delete Gta 4 from my hard drive, re-download, and all my saves will be there? Maybe I misunderstood or wasn't clear, but I just wanna clarify before I lose everything.

You should be able to just re-download GTA IV without having to delete anything by just going to its purchase screen if you already bought it. If not, check your download history. It should be in there somewhere.

Yeah, i'm going to do my damnedest to avoid spoilers for this game. I've had a bad habit this gen of ruining games by looking up either walkthroughs or hints online instead of exploring and discovering for myself. As much as I loved Skyrim, it would have been better had I not looked up key locations of weapons or quests. I always tell myself not to do it, but I usually get flustered and Google the answer to something, and it's all downhill from there.

I guess it's just part of being in the age where literally everything you need to know is a click away, but I REALLY want to experience GTAV by myself with nothing being spoiled.

I know most of us here know the deal, but for anyone new to the forums; Please if you get the game early and want to discuss mission details use the spoiler tags.

Read Dead the first time I:

                Didn't use walkthrough help
                Didn't use cheats
                Completed to 100%

Something about that game just got me into it, whereas on like the 50th pigeon in GTA im like wtf is the point of this. I always get sidetracked and just go into rampage mode which leads to the cheats, and then eventually ill just want to finish the story for the sake of it which leads to the walkthroughs.

the 100% thing is just nuts with the pigeons, like really, 200 and something? Red dead just owned it, sucked me in and was quite a ride, i am hoping GTA V brings that same "thing"

They need the floating, spinning hidden packages again. No more pigeons, oysters, or anything so natural that I'd obviously miss.

Other challenges would be great too, like Red Dead had. They could either be specific or lists, but that still makes them fun.

Right on, I was the same exact way. I had to work for 100% in RDR, but it wasn't an insane goal. Whereas, the pigeons in GTA IV just felt like it'd be an awful gaming experience (trying to find them, trying to know whether I accidentally killed them already, etc.).

I don't know if I mentioned it in this thread yet, but I have to throw this out thère regarding pidgeons and 100%. In GTA 3 I had 99% complete. All I was missing was 1 package, and my game froze during a save, corrupting my file. (Insert suicide gif)

Obviously this will get ported to next gen.

Is Holidays of 2014 the best guess?

I'm on my phone but check out IGN right now, the soundtrack got leaked and it's sick, best GTA soundtrack of all time. It's not even close.

Yeah, agreed this is the greatest soundtrack in GTA History, maybe even gaming history. Vice City and San Andreas were fantastic and yet this tops it.

I'm reading that's just a portion of the soundtrack. Rumors say the audio file is 42 hours long. Others saying there's supposed to be 16 radio stations so... more to come?

That would be amazing if it's just a portion.
