I'm going up as Franklin, but I've seen a seven minute video of someone playing at the club as Franklin. I wondered about your point though the second time they called the 'police' on me, even though I had more than $100 on me upon arrival. But from the video I saw, it's obvious that Franklin (the man of "color") can play golf at the club, at least under some conditions.

I played golf with Franklin very early in the game. I only got chased by the cops after I tore up the course with a car.

Probably later you'll be able buy him a membership. You sure it was Franklin you saw though? Not an online player created character?

I played as Michael. The very first thing I did with him when I got control of him. It did say to play a round to unlock challengers and I didn't unlock anything when I finished. So it all might open later in the game.

I haven't played. It's been downloading while I'm working.

But I will definitely be participating in the stock market with Michael.

I love the idea of three protagonists. There are very different ways I will be playing this game with who I control.

I feel that was the biggest drawback with GTA IV. The gamer's intention never matched Niko's goals.

That's definitely an interesting way to go about it. I bought a tiny bit with Franklin, but you're right, it didn't quite feel as if that was something the character would actually dive into. He's more focused on other things at this point in the game. The stock market fits the traits of Michael more than Franklin/Trevor. It will give him an extra layer as a character.

Anyone play with the stock market at all?

I bought some low level stock of Cluckin' Bell with Franklin, but haven't touched any others.

I'm interested to see how that portion of the game plays out.

Did anyone catch a stock market tip before you off the LifeInvader CEO? I was caught off guard by how quickly you assassinate him, so I didn't get to see if there was any opportunity to capitalize on that death before it happened.

I've been trying to read the web and listen to the radio for anything. Thought about buying the lowest stock, but nah gonna wait.

Question: anyone know what year this game takes place in compared to the other GTA's?

Blimp without a parachute

I found a set of ladders that led to the top of a very tall building. The view was great but my Assassin's Creed leap of faith impression didn't work so well.

Well, there ya go. Maybe you caused to much mayhem nearby and they were still aware. I did have some prissy bitch threaten to call the cops on me at one point cause "my behavior was unacceptable".

Yeah, I guess I just prefer GTA IV's car physics since it made driving less of a mindless thing. I still wish cars caught on fire so there are consequences for banging them up too bad!

Do cards not catch on fire anymore? I thought I saw it happen once during a shootout.

Accidentally bumped into a guy with a motorcycle. Apparently that set him off and the guy pulled a gun on me and I had to run. Two of his buddies came out of nowhere and I had three cars chasing me, firing rounds, and I had no protection what so ever.. almost died before I got away.

****ing pricks are lucky I wasn't in a car.


Also on the verge of pulling off a heist. I've got to take a break and watch Sons of Anarchy and then I'll be back at it.

____ Alpha" was what I heard. I couldn't find a stock that had the word "Alpha" in it. That's a good idea. So good, that I decided to purchase 25 shares for Michael to go along with his 20 shares of Merryweather. I 'm enjoying this part of the game WAY too much.
