What about red lights is enjoyable though? You should pick up Driver 3. Cops will chase you for every reason in that game. Sadly no seatbelts though.

The only time I could really see red lights and other traffic laws (i.e. speeding) being enforced by the cops in the game is in certain missions. Maybe you rob a bank, get away and switch vehicles somehow. Then you have to "stealthily" make it home while not attracting any attention to yourself.

It would make the game hella annoying if you got pulled over for running reds during just regular gameplay, though.

Exactly my point...and that is what makes Rockstar the best game developer in the world. They always have the perfect balance between realism and fun.

If I had to play a GTA game that punishes me breaking driving rules like the first Driver did...man I would probably stop playing it within a week.

I heard rumors that there might be slight traffic violations and infractions in GTA V, which in some ways could be perversely justified. Not quite on the level of Driver, though.

I think they should just make it an option to have traffic rules enforced by police. Then everyone wins! Plus I think it would be interesting to see the police go through the motions of a traffic stop, provided they actually do so and don't just run up to the car with guns drawn and arrest you.

Would be cool to have a co-op mode where like real players can go online and be the cops while another player runs the single player main story. obviously the trolling that would come of it would be insane, but theoretically id like to do that once
