Like I linked in here last night from the GTA Forums, I think this is all somehow interconnected to some sort of UFO/Alien mystery hidden within the game.

The map could be unrelated to this, but over in the forums, some members are using this to try and crack it (if it exists).

I'm all over this, but the users there are terrible grammatically and are extremely vague outside of screenshots. But I see enough evidence to believe this is real.

See my post a few pages back. It links to the thread.

Oh, I didn't die or anything. For a quick backstory...

My personal PS3 YLOD'ed over three weeks ago, and I haven't played anything except my Vita because the family PS3 has been downstairs. It has two accounts, mine and a family account (but it defaults to family). I finally brought it upstairs to my room because of GTA V, but played the game for well over an hour having not realized that I was on the family account, so I had to restart.

Then I replayed the first mission again, and since it kind of works with the opening credits, there shouldn't be a "Mission Complete" graphic like the other ones have, but this time it did. After I hit X to continue, it was just a black screen and didn't go to the credits. So I had to play it a third time, and this time I was finally able to get through all of it on my own account lol.

Ended up calling it a night at 4:30 AM last night (had to get up at 6:00). I was going to go to bed earlier, but I got stalled when I tried to save a game and accidentally ran into a mission.

I've tried to stay into the city as long as possible, but accidentally traveled west as I was following a police/helicopter chase that didn't end well haha. Next thing I know, I'm scaling a large mountain on the lower western side of the map. Finally got to the top, and got a breathtaking view of Los Santos. I took a selfie picture, but at the time my router crapped out and it didn't save. I'll go up there another time.

I personally recommend that people press Select until you're to your closest car and pedestrian camera views, they really look sick and let you take in the environment beyond you more so than the character or vehicle. Also, I changed the Map graphic to just Blips, but I turn it off completely when I'm not doing missions.

Los Santos is spatially massive, there's no denying that. I have yet to explore the rest of the game, but damn it looks even bigger. The only problem I have with Los Santos is the lack of sprawl. When you can travel from the ghetto to the heart of downtown in less than a minute, or the Vinewood sign or Capital Records building is just a short viewpoint away, it kind of takes away from that encapsulation of every part being its own unique area, if that makes sense. That's the only thing I wish was taken in as a part of the "countryside," where they worked a bit more on sprawl and a bit less on variation in that instance. That's just a personal thing.

                  Huge, though!

Bah, hit a roadblock. The Wally World down the road only had the PS3 version and the EB Games near there is no longer. So in a bit i'll be trekking to the mall. If I only see the PS3 copy i'll just get it and resign myself to playing on my bro in law's PS3.

Oh well, least it's warm today.

The 8gb stuff is safe to install on PS3 right? I remember hearing something about how xbox installation wasn't good?

I wish the gun reticle was bigger or a color that made it noticeable when using free aim. I find myself having to get up off my couch to see where im aiming and trying to read the text tutorials that pop up.

Having fun though exploring the map and just taking in whats going on in the environments, cycling through the radio stations.
