Haven't played MP for a while, but you can get games in for Team Deathmatch anytime. The other modes are hit or miss. I might try to play a few games tonight, if Crysis 2 isn't connecting well.

You should definitely check it out though. Most fun game for me online overall.

EDIT: Sorry for the late response.

I'm gonna try and hold off till christmas for the move since I just traded in Killzone and I play NCAA straight. I was waiting to hold off and see if this and uncharted will feature the move before I spent the money on it. The sharpshooter makes it worth the purchase as I dont wanna have to buy games that are just for the move.

          IGN Preview

This is a road movie -- a buddy flick. Capelli and the good doctor travel from Oklahoma to New York, crossing healthy swath of the States. I thought the locales in the last two Resistance games blurred together, and Insomniac seems set on making sure that doesn't happen again.

There were three single-player missions at the Resistance 3 presentation, and each felt very unique. One was a frantic gunfight in a sandy gas station with bullets coming from every angle. Another was a slow, tense boat ride through the foggy, flooded streets of a Mississippi town. And the third had Capelli operating under moonlight in the woods as he methodically sniped Chimera from trees and decrepit cabins.

Three missions, three moods, three gameplay styles -- it wasn't just the "go here and shoot everything with the Auger" mission from the previous games. There were moods here. It was refreshing, and I'm not even that big a fan of first-person shooters. Still, Resistance 3 seems like one of those games I'll get behind because I understand and share the main character's motivation -- a motivation I was constantly reminded of. Every time Capelli reached out to open a door in my demo, the ring on his left hand was glaringly obvious.
          Joystiq Preview

Though the demo of the new level was hands-off, "hunted" fits it well -- the forest, cluttered with trees and the occasional broken-down shack, playing a lot with lines of sight, features a new Chimera enemy called a sniper hybrid. The player's given a Chimera sniper rifle called a Deadeye, and the level consists of counter-sniping; you're trying to dodge the laser sights of snipers while simultaneously aiming for their camoflauged bodies among the foliage.
If you weren't a fan of the previous Resistance installments, news that Resistance 3 has added an extra year of development and used that time to iterate should be welcome news. The emphasis on variety in the single-player campaign, along with a healthy dose of iteration, has already made for a few solid gameplay experiences in our limited experience so far.

Which reminds me, I still have to finish the second one, which I got at launch

Such a back catalog of games!

I am really digging the atmosphere in this as well, reminds me of Half Life 2/L4D!

I've yet to read this thread or that much about this game as I've been trying to wait till I finish R2 which should be tonight. I got the first one at launch and liked it and then didnt end up finishing it till a few months back. I then got the 2nd one and it was better all around and one of the best games ive ever played. Now I have to get a ps3 move and sharpshooter just to play this game.

I am pretty sure that you can still use the PS3 controller for the game.

I just meant that I've been thinking about getting the move anyway and with this feature it would be a good time to it get for christmas this year along with the gun. I dont see why so many people are down on the R2 I thought it was great.

Battle: Los Angeles Blu-ray Includes Resistance 3 Demo
Nearly 30 minute playable demo arrives this June.

The first playable demo of Resistance 3 will be included with the Battle: Los Angeles Blu-ray disc when it hits store shelves on June 14.

The demo consists of "nearly one half-hour" of gameplay total, sending players on a boat ride through the Mississippi river to St. Louis battling chimera. This marks the first Blu-ray/PS3 game demo hybrid released globally.

I didn't think IGN could get any worse when writing articles but I'm now convinced they do no research at all beforehand. This will not by the first time a Blu-Ray movie comes with a PS3 demo. District 9 came with the God of War 3 demo.

Back on topic, I may actually go buy the movie now. Didn't see it in theaters but heard it was your typical humanity survival film, so it should be decent enough. Resistance 3 demo should be enough to get the combo pack.

Resistance 3 Box Art, Logos Revealed

Today we’re proud to reveal the Resistance 3 box art that you can hold in your hands when the game hits store shelves on September 6th. You should recognize right away that this graphic version of the Chimeran Skull with the New York skyline depicted as its teeth, as well as the stylized version of the Resistance franchise logo, isn’t your typical “rendered hero” box art. To create this new look, we partnered with Olly Moss, a talented British artist, to create a bold vision of the Resistance 3 box art for both the North American and European territories.
