I think the 3rd one with the health bar, weapon wheel, and upgrade gun ability was a great move and think just about everyone had the same thinking.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: Resistance 3
Sony Speaks Out on its Relationship With Insomniac - Their "working relationship" is ongoing.
Earlier today, Insomniac Games, the studio that developed the likes of Spyro the Dragon, Ratchet & Clank and most recently Resistance, revealed that it would not be doing another Resistance game.
This begged the question on if Insomniac was finished working with Sony all together, especially considering that the studio's upcoming project, Overstrike, is the very first project the developer has worked on that isn't a PlayStation exclusive.
Sony tells IGN that the company has "had a long and positive relationship with Insomniac and wish them the best of success on their new project Overstrike." Sony's representative went on to tell us that "although we have made no announcements on future products we do still have a working relationship with Insomniac."
This suggests that Insomniac will indeed be developing future projects for PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Vita, though the exact nature of those projects remains unclear. Could this "working relationship" pertain solely to Resistance 3 DLC? A new Ratchet & Clank game? Or a new project altogether? Only time will tell.
But for the meantime, it's safe to say that Insomniac's announcement about not doing another Resistance game hasn't necessarily sounded the death knell for the studio's exclusive relationship with Sony.Comment

Re: Resistance 3
I picked it up for $10 from Best Buy & i have to say, the 3D is done really well in this game. The weapons look really cool when you zoom in & the digital overlay pops up. Its been worth the money so far."In a year that has been so improbable, the impossible has happened." - Vin Scully

Re: Resistance 3
I agree + Sony should of waited till Fall 2012 to have this title released considering they don't have a major release for this year. It would of gave Insomniac a bit more time to polish things up even if it is a year.Comment

Yea I agree 100% they was so many blockbuster games that came out last year and espically ps3 only games that I felt like R3 got pushed behind when it was the best of the series.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

This is the first Resistance game I have played. Picked it up new for cheap, I am going through this bargain binge, picking up older titles for cheap, there are so many cheap titles now...anyway...I am shocked. GAME IS AMAZING!
I have 'resisted' (hahaha so funny...ok shut up and move on) getting shooters on the ps3 because I haven't liked the controller compared to the 360. My ps3 has been neglected for a long time. Am having a ps3 renaissance and am suddenly loving the system and the controller and Resistance 3 is so awesome.
I prefer a heavier, slower feel for shooters so I turned the camera setting down immediately and was then taken over by the story, the setting and the action. Visually this game is mint. Spectacular. The story unfolds in a quality cinematic style. But the real fun is the gameplay. The weapons feel great and there is good variety beyond the typical guns. The level up and secondary fire options are a nice touch. Really like the weapon wheel where for once every gun you find you have with you at all times so you can swap out guns and mix them up for as long as you have ammo. Last night I was low on ammo so I used the Auger to locate some patrolling Chimera, track their movement and then I shot them in the gut with the Magnum and used the secondary function to detonate them blowing them to pieces from the inside out.Enemy ai is fine and the battles are satisfyingly big and frantic. In fact battles feel less corridor like and can be more open affairs.
Presently I am at the end of chapter 11 fighting a multi-eyed boss. I learned there are 20 chapters. I am in some serious love with this game. I dont want it to end. 20 chapters is nowhere near enough. Maybe I should invest in Resistance 1&2???
I dont want to share my ps3 with my girlfriend so she can play the Sims whilst I go back to the xbox. I want to fight the ferals and set up magnet traps and take down that big assed boss getting in my way from enjoying more of this delicious beastly piece of software!
Xbox...what a come down. What am I saying? Resistance 3 has messed with my mind and I dont care who knows it!!!

If you liked the 3rd one and then you should pick up the first 2 as they are cheap and the story from all 3 is on going (though its not the best story in the world). Its a very under rated series and most say 2 isnt as good as 1&3 bc health packs and something else that i am forgetting.
Agree, I have totally under rated this series. Pleasant late find indeed. We are the music makers...Comment

I recently got that and Resistance 2 ($3.49 used on sale) from GS, only a little ways into Fall of Man but it's great.Comment
