I reached 4 stars last night after going on killing rampage with the little helicopter drone (forget the name) smoking 5 or 6 before getting shot down. And then went on to kill 2 or 3 more on foot.

This by the way was my best round so far and the only time where I ended up with more kills than deaths so far, hahaha!! There was a day when I was a force to reckon with in FPS online, those days are looooooooong gone!!! LOL

OH well, still loving this game online!!

I couldn't even get the patch to d/l so I exited out of it and continued playing the SP campaign. I like the SP campaign so far, my only complaint is how scripted and bad the AI can be at times. The AI respawns which can get annoying in certain parts of the game.

I totally agree with this statement. I dont know what it is but many online shooters I've played over the years has given me the same feeling. Just finished a round on Homefront where I went 2-14, LOL!!

I just don't get it, I was wearing a flak jacket the entire time and the majority of those deaths felt like two bullets (hits) or less would drop me. I know that head shots will tend to do that, but I watched the death cam and I had guys dropping me from a far distance using an assault rifle. It feels like it takes 10-15 bullets for me to get a kill..................frustrating!!!

I literally shot this one dude in the head and chest four times with a sniper rifle, only to be fired back on by him and got dropped with one bullet from his assault rifle.....WTF!! I know my skills have dropped off but come on!!!

Just beat the game. Yea, it was short, but it was one of the best FPS single players I have ever played. I really liked the story. They did a great job recreating America in my opinion. Somethings happened I didn't expect like the ending which were great to see. I honestly think they could make a Homefront movie that is basically the same exact scenes in game.

like knifing a door open lol.... cowher I meant to say I've played them all, not questioning whether you did or not. But the control in this game imo is closer to cod than bf. Aiming your gun around should be as zippy as you want it to be.

"weight and realism" pfffff. Watching someone run in cod is not un-realistic (until they jump) anymore than any other game. In fact the running animations are kind of cool. I'm not hating on anything for no reason I've bought all the games, and still have to dig more into this one. I'm just saying all the tactical talk and realism talk is pretty BS. I don't get the twitch thing...you manoeuvre around a corner in any game and meet a foe what happens?

                Re: Homefront (360/PS3)

My biggest issue with the game is the party system on the 360. When trying to get into the dedicated servers with more than 2 people is 90% miss and 10% hit. It becomes very frustrating. Case in point, last night with about 6 of us trying to get into a dedicated server it would allow the party host in and everyone else would get dropped this went on for over an hour. Now we would try joining the party host room from the FL but again that was hit or miss too. Later in the evening about 11 or so 4 of us were finally all in the room and all on the same team and it was GREAT!! The dedicated servers work really well and the gameplay had moments of fast and furious and slow and tactical.

Overall the game WILL be much better when the party system is straightened out. Now the real question is how long will that be??

On 360, Battle Commander Ground Control mode was upped to 32 players today.

Picked this up for PC yesterday, so far just going through single player but I'm digging it, seems like a solid story and the AI is passable. Feel bad for the console users when it comes to graphics, it uses DX11 on PC for those with capable hardware and it actually is a pretty decent looking game with those settings.

Looking forward to firing up MP over the weekend as I've read the SP is really short.

On the 360 on my HDTV the game looks fine. I don't really see what the big deal is to everyone else about the graphics. My biggest complaint with the graphics is seeing the grass grow 15 feet in front of you. Everything else looks fine and does not look 2 years behind like everyone says.

I don't particularly think it's that bad either.

Yeah, I didn't go "Man these graphics suck" when I saw them...seem ok to me, and every game isn't going to be pushing the envelope with graphics

The gameplay makes up for where the graphics lack.

yea... especially when there are 3 drones, 2 helis, 1 tank 2 Humvees and 24 infrantrymen swarming rockets, bullets, grenades, bombs and raining shrapnell and phosperous explosives all over the map...uh yea... texture quality and whatnot kind of take a back seat.

                              Edit:
although I think the lighting and speculars look good but wish there was a little more variety in time of day and or locale....where is my snow map and my night map?

I've always wished FPS games had more night maps and the ability to us lasers and night vision. Not enough games do that.
