Re: Homefront (360/PS3)
I am not surprised it is on sale......Basically if you want to compete against COD you have to be on sale just for people to notice you. I remember Medal of Honor dropping to $39.99 2 weeks after release.
Sad......but every FPS will be compared to COD. And 90% of people will play every FPS like it is COD. And if there is a problem with MP, that will turn people off quick.
Seen it happen with Medal of Honor and that game never did recover from it.
I will buy this game next month regardless, hopefully by then all the bugs will be worked out by then.Comment

Re: Homefront (360/PS3)
I'm not that into the twitch COD gameplay...I know all FPS are twitch to some extent, but BFBC2 and this (well, when I can play online) seem different in pacing and grouping.
I'm glad there are at least some games that try to be a little different.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Homefront (360/PS3)
The concern I have is that the online is broken. They have a scrolling message about getting new servers, but are we to believe the issue with online is because they didn't have enough servers? That doesn't sit well with me.
I'm very frustrated and fed up with the push and branding of games only to see them fail miserably because the company simply did not get it right. It happens with almost every game this generation. I just paid you $60.00. What would we do if upon purchasing something of equal or lesser value we were told, "Hold tight, we'll get it going for you." we wouldn't accept it. But for some reason we do it with video games. We tolerate broken games far too often.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Apparently the metacritic rating was what the market was looking at. But things may turn around after sales are posted.

The same thing happened with both Bad Company games. Although I don't like it and part of me does not believe it, I trust them when they say it.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Although we do tolerate broken games way more than we should compared to other things in life, I actually think they did not anticipate so many people getting the game. They saw they had 200,000 preorders, so had enough servers for all the preorders plus some. But I'm willing to bet way more people bought it that didn't have it preordered, so it stressed the servers heavily.

yeah, blah blah blah...the game is lovely when they are hyping it, broken when they release it. I'm tired of it.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Re: Homefront (360/PS3)
I don't like it, but when every game that comes out now has the same issues, I don't sit here and call out the game on it. That doesn't mean I have come to accept it and forgive games when they do it. But its become just about the standard now for a game to have online issues. Hopefully the trend dies down very very soon because it is one of the most frustrating flaws a game can have.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: Homefront (360/PS3)
I'm enjoying the MP....kind of.... the one thing I keep thinking is it has the pacing of a Call of duty but with controls (movement) that are not as responsive as I would like them to be for that speed. aslo the distant characters are like these itsy bitsy little things that you can barely see... feels like depth perception is off or something.Comment

Re: Homefront (360/PS3)
I spent a $20 certificate for this at Best Buy and got it for $43. I'm going to have to go complain for the price difference back, as this is really BS. I just might be done buying games brand new day one, this is a joke.Comment
