    Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I'm suddenly interested in this game.

One shocking note, especially after LA Noire and Rage, this is all on one Xbox 360 disc.

For thos complaining about DLC being on 360 first, as a 360 owner I hate it too. I've seen PS3 get exclusive stuff as well which sucks. It sucks for an industry as a whole, wish all 3rd party games were EXACTLY the same for both systems.

GOAT for me personally I'm betting this will be.

It's cool KNOWING that it won't disappoint - like it's going to own, I know it, you know it....even the timing, it will be getting cold here and sometimes playing games inside while it's freezing cold outside adds to it for some reason. That's what it was like for me during the first mass effect.

Anyway, I'm going to play through as my standard Conan the Barbarian type which suits this game particularly well being set where it is.

      can't wait.

Yeah, this franchise is one of the very few that basically gets my money the instant they announce a new game.

With the TES series, I'm like my son is with anything Cars or Toy Story related: They could literally just announce "Here's a new game" with no supporting info or visuals, and I would still be hyped to run out and buy it.

Absolutely agreed. As soon as this was announced, I basically decided that I need not bother picking up any other games this winter season, no matter how good they are. UC3 and (at the time) ME3 were going to just have to wait.

Yeah in Oblivion they would come running in the general direction the arrow was shot. If the keep it as is, it's going to make the game a breeze.

It sounded like they were in the middle of a conversation too. I could understand it if they weren't in each others field of view or something but hopefully the AI is improved upon from that demo.

sounds like the conversation they were having was about the elf that went in the cave without them. I'd assume it's the one caught in the spiders web a little later in the video. It's a day one purchase for me anyway but just i wasn't too fond of the dude sitting there going "oh look an arrow in my buddies head. Hmm"

I think the reason the guy was standing still was due to the shock of the stealth kill. I mean come on, you're standing there talking to your buddy about pink hippos and BLAM, he falls over with an arrow on his head. You're going to be a little shocked. You're not just going to pull out your sword and run after a random inanimate object....that's just silly.

Anyways, I pre-ordered this jawny the effin day it was announced. Day 1, minute one, second 1 buy for me.

well, in previous Elder Scrolls games they would stand there. I really don't think it would be silly to actually have a reaction when an arrow implodes your buddy's head. I don't think anyone said te NPC should run after inanimate objects, just that they should have a little better reaction than crouch down a little and not move an inch especially considering they are in a cave and not someone's home or any "friendly" place.

I wish they could tie it in to the enemies A.I somehow. Kind of an Assassin's Creed like thing where the other enemies will actually "go searching" for you. I'm going to miss stealth Wabbajack Staff mayhem from Oblivion.

Maybe they will turn wabbajack into a spell, or a spell that can emulate the wabbajack (transform creature that you can craft into change into random creature).
